Get a lotion made for your face that is fragrance free, oil free, and says on it that it won't clog pores. One made for sensitive skin should do the trick. : )

omg, bad decision! if you have dry skin you should never use any harsh ingredients like that. stay away from the benzoyl peroxide, salicyclic acid, glycolic acid, everything! stick with natural ingredients like aloe, vitamin e, kinetin, etc. definitley buy a nice CREAMY cleanser that contains a lot of vitamins in it. go to a health food store if possible, or visit the body shop (bodyshop.com). get a nice soothing toner and delicate, oil-free, moisturizer. this should bring back your normal skin. if price is an object, just stick with the drugstore brands and purchase "be good skincare' or whatever its called. every product in their line is made from a food. another brand to heal dry skin is aveeno. that works well, i swear by it! something similar happened to me just a few weeks ago where i had a small dry and red patch on my face from a harsh cleanser that had contained similar ingredients, so i applied the aveeno calming moisturizer on the patch and in 4 days, it was gone.

that is like putting accid on your face girl, never use that again please.
ok, what you need is not a greasy product but a moisterizer. just go to your pharmacist and ask them, really they can give you what you need, it don't need to be expensive, i have looked for a long time on my own and tried all sorts of stuff, but now i just asked and got the right stuff right away, i always tought i needed something greezy, most people think that when you have a dry skin, but specially when it's also flakey, it needs moist,
good luck
i would tell you what i use but it's a dutch brand so i don't think it would do you anygood. it's by biodermal

Dry skin types have to be extremely careful to protect their skin.Yogurt-honey combination helps dry skin. Make an egg pack with a yolk, a teaspoon of honey, a tablespoon of milk powder. This is beneficial to dry skin types. There are many helpful tips to cure dry skin at http://useinfo-dryskin.blogspot.com/

Good answers given for external moisturizing but you also need to rehydrate from within. More water and good fats like fish (fish oil), avacados, black olives, nuts. You will probably peel for awhile because what you used was like an acid peel. Be careful though as too much external greasiness like vaseline can clog the poors and make you break out! Good luck !

for face skin you have to be very cautious. Since you dried your skin our big time it is going to want to over-produce oils to make up for it. This is why you should always use a moisturizer!!! Even if you are oily, you still need one. There are perfect types for oily skin,
Anywhoo, I would use aloe vera. Either that or your regular moisturizer. Be careful with regular lotion, it has fragrance and dyes that can mess you up worse!
