Actually that is great weight loss, and you must be doing it right. Losing weight too quickly will not benefit your health, only harm it, and the chances of gaining weight back is higher. However, that being said, if you like to get off to a good start when dieting, you should begin with a good three day detox, to get all the nasties out. You can do this by drinking plenty of water (8-10 glasses a day), drinking plenty of white or green tea (when I say white tea, I don't mean with milk! White tea is a great de-tox tea), loads of fresh fruit and veg juices, no salt, no caffeine, no sugar, and only healthy oils, such as olive oil. Eat plenty of fresh green veggies, and leave off the meat, opt instead for steamed oily fish and miso soups, and brown rice. Chuck the dairy products. Also, body brushing is great for getting your lymph system going, and eliminating the toxins from your body. Begin with a firm bristled brush (you can get them from body shop), and in a circular movement, brush from ankles to shoulders, always going towards the heart. After, you can have a shower or bath, and finish with essential oils, or cream. Great for your skin, and de-toxifying as well.
Walking is great exercise, and swimming is a really good all over gentle exercise, which is fun too. You could try adding that to your regime as well.
Weight loss isn't about how quickly you do it, but about doing it correctly, and taking good care of your body. Learning to love you for yourself, not how you look, or how much you weigh. It should be about your health, and you are getting a good start, by losing slowly. Good luck!
Edit-
I just saw your a veggie, which is great, so am I. I will give you a great recipe, low fat, and sooo healthy. Packed with flavour, and makes you feel like your cheating, when you aren't:
Black bean taco's:
olive oil, and a crushed garlic in the fry pan with a dash of chilli spices. Add a tin of drained black beans, mash and heat through, salt and pepper to taste. Make a salsa from finely chopped tomatoes, red onion, green chilli, coriander, lime juice, and a dash of oil, salt and pepper to taste.
Guacamole made from a mashed avocado, chopped red onion and tomato, and lime juice. mix very well. Assemble in taco shells, beans, then guac, then salsa with a bit of shredded lettuce, and low fat cheese if you like. Very tasty and very healthy.

I agree with Ernesto. Try Billy Blanks. I was seemingly having the same problem as you...although 4 and 1/2 pounds in 3 weeks is actually really good cause the rest is water weight and you'll probably end up gaining it back anyways.....Anywho....I lost about 300 pounds (no lie) following Billy Blanks and Pilates....Although I wouldn't reccommend Pilates if you are EXTREMELY out of shape because that was the first one I tried and I thought I was gonna die...But I did Billy Blanks for a few months then went back to Pilates and it wasn't nearly as hard as the first time. Before Billy Blanks I was only losing about 3-5 pounds every month. Then I started dropping pounds like crazy.....But with the right diet and exercise program you'll be able to drop the weight like nothing. And just remember that everything "bad" you eat is only against yourself. You really aren't hurting anybody but yourself...That's what a lot of people don't understand. They'll lie about eating something they know is wrong to eat (or drink) and be all like "man, i'm still fat. This program doesn't work" I was like that at first then decided, ya know what. I'm done being the fat girl so I did something about it. I got rid of all the junk food in the house....and now it's actually easier to control myself around junk food. i used to eat an entire bag of kitkats every week....now a bag will last me 2 months if not longer. Anyways. I'm starting to sound like an infomercial so I'm gonna quit this now. lol. If you have any questions or whatever feel free to email me...and always remember, the first 10 pounds are the hardest to lose! Now I'm pregnant and I'm gonna have more weight to lose once this baby is born...which is cool though. I did it once, I surely can do it again. And if I can, you can. Just hang in there.

thats a healthy weight loss. you shouldnt lose more than 2 pounds a week or you will put it right back on again. If you carry on at this rate, you will slim by summer. Dont worry, and enjoy yourself, rather than worrying about the diet. Once you relax, sometimes the weight comes off without trying.

Go for protein instead of sugar to keep energy levels going strong rather than crashing. Edamame in pods could be the perfect snack since it takes time to eat and a one-cup providing offers 12 grams of necessary protein.

4.5 lbs in 3 weeks is actually not bad.
That's an average loss of a pound and a half per week.
The recommended rate of healthy weight loss is 1 1/2 - 2 pounds per week.

You're obviously eating too much and/or not burning off enough calories. Reduce your daily points and/or increase your daily activity. Losing weight is so easy - consume fewer calories than you burn off.
Ditch the takeaway - your metabolism slows down on a diet, so your body will store more of the takeaway as fat than if you were not dieting.
