Cause people in this world are so damn materialistic and don't care about nature.
This is why I too don't have kids!

Veteran, There will be some who will go to Satan who have children that for generations have done the WRONG by God. They are a minority. Having children is not what will send people to hell. There are three places God has organised for us. One is with God, Two is with your loved ones in peace and harmony enjoying life and Three in Hell where there is a corridor that leads you to a room where you are kept alive forever, tortured, the most unimaginable pain. No war, no torture on this planet can match what Hell has, he will torture your mind and body.
Give up your evil ways now and tell others. Never give up faith, find out why these animals are becoming extinct, contact those in media if you are not already involved and have it exposed. If you don't know anyone this is your chance to make a difference. Make yourself available to those in the know, if you can't find out who can this is the only way to progress.

This planet is more powerful than all humans who have ever lived or ever will live combined. You are a fool to think that we are significant enough to kill the earth. We are but a blink of an eye in the timeline of the Earth, nothing we could ever do will create a permanant change for the planet. If and when polar bears, walruses or any other species go extinct, it will be because they were not strong enough to adapt to a changine environment. The planet is not dying, it is just constantly changing. This is the way it has always been and will always be. Get off your high horse and just enjoy your short life.

Some people aren't aware of the serious effects of global warning, or they seem to just ignore it.
Not many people are doing anything to change this for future generations, because they think that they won't live when it gets really serious.
People think that what they're doing is very insignificant and won't make a difference, so they don't do it.

You bring up a very good point. Even if one did not believe in God or the Son and the free gift of eternal life, just looking at the world can make you really ponder about things.
But you need to keep in mind the world is the way it is because of sin. The conditions on this planet today come largely from greed, corruption and no care for tomorrow that came from individuals and companies. Greed and corruption come from the heart, by-products of sin.
To the Christian, we look so forward to leaving this planet and being with our creator and our savior. We truly believe the end is soon and our faith is established with our loving God and the want to obey Him out of love. To do what we can now to help and to prepare for our eternal life as well.
Nevertheless, many Christians also are the stewards of this sick planet and do the best that they can to make positive and good changes. But often to many it's the bottom line, the almighty buck, and for many of our world's leaders they simply don't care about this world.
Jesus spoke far ahead of his time relating to us what life would just prior to his coming. He says in Matt. 24:37-38: “But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. “For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark.” In short, nothing much really changes to those who have no relationship with Jesus.
However, to those of us who have accepted the Lord into their hearts and minds, we do care about everything that is right and good. We don't have to look far either for a blueprint as we have the 10 Commandments of God. No, we are not saved by keeping them, but they sure make a lot of sense and illustrate how much God loves us too.
If you could only look at what millions of Christians are doing today to help. The majority of Christians in the U.S. give more financially to charities around the world then any other group. Christians donate not just their money, but their talents and time and choose careers and lives that serve to help everyone.
And Christians feel the same way you do. But not all is hopeless and not all is lost either.
Today you can see literally millions of people in India, South America, China, Africa and many other countries where the gospel is being shown everywhere through the internet, satellite, radio accepting Jesus and insuring a much better life, one without sin, as Christ will return soon before this planet is destroyed, to take his children home.
And with their new relationship with Christ, their lives have a positive change, maybe in small ways, but enough to help this planet and to make a positive difference.
The good news is that one day this planet will be made hole again and everything that God intended this world to be before sin, will be created again, and there will be no more sin as like you and me, we have seen the results of sin and we would not want any more to do with Satan of his evil angels and sin.

they don't realize the severity. they are blind to the situation. i really think they need to take the situation more seriously and do something about it. i'm glad people like al gore are bringing issues like global warming to the forefront. i realize there are many more problems then that. i do feel we are gradually moving in the right direction but the question is if we will make it in time.
i do disagree with you on your jesus stance. I do believe in Him. i don't know what being religious has to do with our global problems. plus its not just religious people who have kids after all. i think its only natural to procreate. its human nature.

I don't think that you are firing on all cylinders.
The planet isn't going to die any time soon, so I have no plans to act any differently than I do now, and a few floating polar bears aren't enough to convince me otherwise.
Peer-reviewed research has now been published that global warming is a joke. Don't get caught up in it. If you don't believe me, just look at this "global warming" winter we're having! That's not rain in Oklahoma, it's ice.
