If God has already passed judgment on you? I guess what I am asking is how do you know if God has already cut you off spiritually? I know that the bible does say 'that he will never leave us or forsake us." But there is also a point that we can habitually sin and be disconnected from his presence...how do we know if that has happened to us...only serious replys please!!

You can try to run but you can't hide forever!
Yes, maybe God has passed judgement on us already- no matter, he came to save the condemed not the righteous!
Seriously, you wouldn't be asking that question if you were beyond His reach, so to speak. I don't think Hitler worried much about his spiritual condition.
The apostle Paul killed believers of Christ before his conversion, and he wasn't beyond God grace, so I hardly think you could have gone that far in hardening your heart.
It says in the Bible that while we were still sinner that Christ died for us, to demonstate his love for us (Romans 5:8).
Remember the story Jesus told about the son who took his inheritance and left home and did a lot of thing that brought him down, things that caused him grief and shame and he was starving and decided he might be able to return home and at least maybe be a servant in his father house if he asked his father for forgiveness?
He has the speech all prepared as he nears the house, but his dad sees him coming down the road from far away and runs out to hug him and even before the son can ask his father to forgive him, his father is overjoyed at his sons' return and he immediately plans a big celebration.
That's a picture of God's heart for you right now. A heart of love that never gives up looking for our return home to where we really belong.
Don't get discouraged. The Devil, as the saying goes, is a liar and would have us believe we are failures, lost and beyond all help. But on that last day, God will point to the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. (Rev 12:10-13,13:8).
It is a promise that all who call on Him will be heard! It's true whether or not we believe it or feel it or desire it.

Well yes you are right in a sense but the Bible also says "While yet we remain unfaithful God remains Faithful"
And God is always watching out for those who are His in other words those who truelly remain faithful(even tho we constantly sin) but keep faith in our hearts that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and continue to apply that daily to our lives as Paul tells the Corinthians "Have assurance of hope until the end" If you truelly believe in God and His Son, God will not let you go or slip but will constantly be with you by the sending of the Holy Spirit and even tho it seems as tho we are being punished daily or whenever hard times come in our lives that is only our sin casusing us to fall daily but never falling away from our Father. And we only await for the final day of Judgement of which the Bible says no one knows except the Father and will come like a thief in the night. And also Jesus told His disciples that when you truelly come to know the Father and believe God discloses Himself to you and has you in His hand and wont let you go "Not even Satan can pry you out of My Fathers hand" Hope this helps God bless

The only sin that cannot be forgiven is blaspheming the holy spirit, every other sin is forgiven - you just have to accept that as it is truth.
What is blaspheming the holy spirit? - it is turning your back on Jesus when you have walked with him - and saying I dont want you anymore and meaning it and never turning back, God cant forgive that even if he wanted to.
You can fall into a sin 70 times a day and God wuill forgive you every time.
But quite honestly, if youre going to sin that many times doing the same thing, there will come a point when you say, I am fed up of this and eventually change.

Isn't god suppose to be all-knowing? If so then he knows when he will cut you off before you even know it. However, that would go against him being an all-loving god.

We never know what god has planned for us, we take our chances always and pray for the best but if you believe that you have done your best, then thats all you can do and continue to pray! You are a good human being and you will be okay!

That's all in your *imagination*. There's no such thing as spirituality other than sitting around thinking about mystical things. Whether you constantly force yourself to think about jesusy things or start to focus on something else in the real world is the only thing you're asking.

it is up to US to seek him. he has left the door open for us to come in if we want to. those who sin and cut him off do it of their own free will they could always repent and get closer again.

Your problem lies when you become a born again christian and sometime after that point you deny He ever existed. Woe is you!
