Do you only hate illegal immigrants or anyone who migrated to your country although it was throught the legal process? I was just curious because I am in the process of migrating to another country LEGALLY of course, and it seems like people just don't like any migrants including even legal ones.

Thank you for the responses.

Just to add, I am not Mexican (some people mentioned it).

I surely do respect the law and such.

Legal immigrants are cool. Illegal immigrants are, well, illegal.

Nothing against the legals, but illegals had no right to come to another country and make it their home without going thru the legal immigration laws of the country they went to. I'm sorry, but they should've respected the laws of the land. One thing that is so very frustrating is that our crime rates have gone up. Doesn't anyone respect the law at all anymore? I'm not just talking about illegals.
People in Mexico should've demanded decent leaders who will stand up and see that their people are taken care of and have jobs and can live a happy life.

I dont hate anyone. Its just a matter of respect for the law. I was formely sympathetic to the illegals cause but they ruined it when they went on TV and marched demanding legalization and waving Mexican flags. How can you have respect for someone who doesn't give it? I have absolutely no problem with legal immigration.

Anyone who can migrate to another country and become a member of society that is great. But I love to see the Australian government destroyers taking out those people trying to illegally come here on a floating door.

There has been a long history of legal immigrants being welcomed to America, while at the same time, certain groups feeling the prejudice. Just ask the Irish, the Italians, etc. The truth is, the vast majority of Americans can trace their families back to immigrants at some point in history, even if you include the colonists. Legal immigration is part of our nature, and fully welcomed by me!

Yes excellent point is is indeed only the economically destabilizing effect of illegal and illegitimate labor forces. Not a particular group(Immigrants) only the illegal part and only because of that destabilizing effect. the plight of the individuals I understand. I don't hate any immigrant simply because they are an immigrant. in fact I don't hate anyone!! your question was placed in the form of an assumption, something I personally would not have done to any person whether they share my views or not!

It's not a matter of hating immigrants, legal or illegal. With legal immigrants, I extend a warm "Welcome to the United States of America and a new and prosperous life here."
To illegal aliens, I support their immediate deportation. They are felony criminals if they entered illegally. I regard them on equal status as I would a child molester, thief or murderer.
If they entered legally under a visitors or student visa and overstayed, go home, get the appropriate visa and you're welcome to come back.

I'm American and have been in a few states where I wasn't exactly welcome because my vehicle license was from another state. Well, I am a Viet Nam combat veteran, my father a WWII combat veteran, my grandfather a WWI combat veteran (all of us with Purple Hearts) My great grandfather was a Union- Civil War Combat veteran (wounded 11 times) My great great grandfather was a combat veteran in the War of 1812 and the American Revolution (he was never wounded. But the way I look at it I damn well have the right to live in any one of the 50 states or other territories I please.

Yes, I've heard some people at AOL was trying to tell illegals that it was purely race and that even legal immigrants were getting sent back to Mexico. That is a lie. It is NOT about race. I wonder which level of 'ell they'll burn in? Maybe that will be my next question...

Legall imagrants work hard, pay taxes, and contribute to our economy. Illegals, work under the table for companies that use them to profit themselves. These companies pay under minuman, don't pay workers comp, don't pay unemployment insurace or follow laws to protect workers. Illegals are making companies like the ones I am talking about create back in the 20s company eithics ( slave labor). Illegals are a tax burden on the average american.

I know what u mean! I came to the US from the UK legally and I havent had much probs but I think I would have had more problems with people if I were say black or mexican.

People are just prejudice. If they even stopped for a min to realize that the whole country's population are immigrants except for the native americans of course.

I don't hate illegal immigrants they all have there own story some of them may be trying to escape some horrible injustice in there own country or just want to be with the one they love.
Illegal immigrants only make me angry when they end up killing people.

No, Americans don't hate immigrants. This is a land full of immigrants from almost evrey single country in the world. We have a culture of freedom, liberty, justice and free expression that is envied by the rest of the world. We used to have one of the highest standards of living, and the ability to provide for the poor.

We have come to be very resentful, however of the illegals who drain our economy, lower the standard of living, pile 20 people into a house that is built to accomodate a family of four or five, don't pay for health care when we have to pay insurance premiums in the hundreds of dollars per month in order to obtain those same services with additional co-payments, who receive living subsidies in the range of $2,500 a month when our parents who paid into the social security system receive only $771 a month, and on and on with the inequities we are facing. We have grown a society on law and order. We are generous to a fault, we give aid to many many countries every year, and additional aid to countries with enormous natural disasters.

Everyone in the world would like to be American - or else why do they want to come here? But, we are being pushed and shoved, and demands being made upon our good nature that are inconsistent with the standing of the people making these demands. They have stolen in, unlawfully. They break in and expect to be given what the normal taxpaying American works so hard to obtain and acheive.

It is growing old and making us cold. Our once beautiful land is being trashed. Look at the trails of garbage dumped by border crossers. They have no respect for our land. There is over-population and taxing of resources to consider. Water, land, food, energy, all are issues we have to defend from interlopers. Our personal safety and security are issues.

We were once taught that we needed to practice "zero population growth" in order to sustain our standard of living. this is impossible when 12 million illegals crash across our borders. 12 million people! That is many many cities full of people who don't respect our laws and culture. Why do we want to support them?

And I re-iterate: American is a land of immigrants. Our entire society was built upon immigration. Do it lawfully, immigrate legally, become a citizen and take an oath to support and defend our Constitution, to hold your allegiance to our country, and you are welcome! Become American and live in peace, harmony and freedom within our gates!

Break the law and be prepared to suffer the consequences - jail or deportation.
