This doctrine taught by Orson Pratt has been classifed as false doctrine by the LDS church. Anti Mormons use this doctrine to say LDS believe it because a leader of the Church never The Leader taught it once. Most LDS & non LDS don't know it was classified as false doctrine today. Some anti mormons use this doctrine and others to twist LDS doctrine.

No we don't believe we will be rulers of our planets.
LDS doctrine holds we will be resurrected in our own bodies of Flesh and bone and live in the third heaven or Celestial Kingdom with God and our families who are sealed to us.

The Seer:

Leaders of the Church even spoke out against those who might try to think that some other standard applied for ‘official’ Church doctrine:

[The Seer, a magazine published by a Church leader] contain[s] doctrines which we cannot sanction, and which we have felt impressed to disown, so that the Saints who now live, and who may live hereafter, may not be misled by our silence, or be left to misinterpret it…It ought to have been known, years ago, by every person in the Church—for ample teachings have been given on the point—that no member of the Church has the right to publish any doctrines, as the doctrines of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, without first submitting them for examination and approval to the First Presidency and the Twelve. There is but one man upon the earth, at one time, who holds the keys to receive commandments and revelations for the Church, and who has the authority to write doctrines by way of commandment unto the Church. And any man who so far forgets the order instituted by the Lord as to write and publish what may be termed new doctrines, without consulting with the First Presidency of the Church respecting them, places himself in a false position, and exposes himself to the power of darkness by violating his Priesthood. While upon this subject, we wish to warn all the Elders of the Church, and to have it clearly understood by the members, that, in the future, whoever publishes any new doctrines without first taking this course, will be liable to lose his Priesthood.[1]

Id just like to say that the first person who answered is a terrible example of a "Muslim"

im white and a female and i converted to Islam and i just have to say please dont get the wrong impression of the religion because of IDIOTS like that.

i do NOT FOR A SECOND, and most muslims wouldnt either, think that people who are not muslims are going to hell just because they do not believe in Allah. give me a break. i think only Allah knows (or God whichever name you wish to use) what is inside a person's heart and that PERSON who just said that should reconsider what he or she is saying..they are giving Islam a bad name.

And ive heard about LDS believing that, i'm not quite sure..i have a friend who is LDS too.

I believe the Bible.

Revelation 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.

It seems God intended us all to be His children and gain everything He has. Compared to that getting a planet is small potatos.

Puppies can grow up to be like their parents.

Tiny babies can grow up to be like their parents.

God is literally our Father. Through prophets, he has revealed that if we follow his commandments, we can eventually have all that he has.

Every loving father wants the most for his children.

The question isn't whether or not Mormons believe this, but rather whether or not it's true.

I am a muslim and I sincerely believe that all christians including LDS are heading for hell. But, what exactly is wrong in believing that God would give His true believers an empire of a Planet.

More funny thing would be to believe in bible itself which is one of the most unauthenic, inconsistent and self contradciting book on this planet.

Why people make fun of paradise while they believe in such a book called bible. Atleast for the book of mormon we know the name of author with certainty. But, nobody can tell the names of authors of books in bible except one name paul.
