I speak Russian, Korean, English, German and French. I am from Canada and French and English were both mother languages. I studied Russian in university and lived in germany long enough to pick up a good understanding. My wife is Korean so I thought I better learn it to speak to my family there. I would say of all the languages I have attempted to master I prefer Russian. The rules are pretty straight forward and the words roll off the tongue. Korean is only fun cause they don't expect a Honky to speak thier language. It is like crashing a party you aren't invited to but everyone is glad you came.

I've always been in love with languages in general, but I tend to lean more towards the European languages. I love French and my Mother-tongue Serbian (tezjak ali interesantan je). Being part German, I also enjoy German ( find it hilarious to listen to people speaking it because they sound really funny in the beginning - ever heard the Bible being read in German? XD). Italian is a very romantic and beautiful language - I love the way the words sound (the accent helps a bit also i suppose...lol). I love the European languages because I find Europe to be the best continent in the world. It's better than any other continent (probably because I'm pregidous) in my opinion. Everything that's good come from Europe. You might say, "Well what about Asia and their technology advances?", and I would tell you,"Ya, but European's are so more original - fashion was invented by Europeans - take a look at Italian shoes and French hats...everybody loves it."

GO EUROPE GO! (PUNO TE VOLIM SERBIA!)

Swedish is a beautiful language. If don't know how it sounds when you don't understand what they say, but when you do, it's so pretty! Especially when boys speak it, it's a very "soft" langauge, and also kinda "summerish". It also has this sort of innocence...

French is of course beautiful - it's so romantic and floating etc. etc.

Slavic languages are very catchy. If you listen to a Russian speak, it's very fascinating how they pronounce it, I think. The tone of voice is very deep and I like the way they pronounce "sl".

Hopelandic, which is a language sung by Sigur Rós, which by the way is one of the best bands ever, is a very fascinating language as well. It is very suitable for singing.

If you ever hear people argue in Romanian, I bet you will laugh because it's so cool! It sounds so gripping, kind of, it's very intense to listen to it...

And of course Elvish is b-eautiful. I then refer to LOTR.

I like Semitic languages: Arabic, Hebrew, Aramaic and Syriac. These languages, especially Arabic, are so rich and beautiful. A single word of Arabic can mean 17 words in English and a single sentence in Arabic can be translated into 5-7 sentences. It is so rich that there are Arabic words that can not be translated in any way into other languages.

I like also the Melayu languages: Bahasa Indonesia, Melayu, Tagalog, Thai and other Southeast-Asian languages because they are full of words that are primarily use for respecting the elders or older people be they sisters, brothers, aunt, uncle or even plain acquaintances.

Well, English for one. But my favorite foreign language is French and Italian. The French language flows very smoothly and the Italian language sounds awesome.

Hard to choose. I like different things about different languages. I have had a lot of fun learning about and teaching the quirks of English grammar. I like the sound of Hungarian. Spanish is full of interesting diversity among its speakers and dialects. I could go on.

I love the French language (a romance language) because it has an almost musical quaility about it.
