My dog is amazing! I want her to be in top dog competition thing, and she's not a 'mutt' as some rudley put it. She is only 2 breeds, a chiwawa and toypoodle. So, can I do that? Where? Website please? When? Make it in the Bay Area! Help!

I know she's a mutt, but it sounds so much ruder than mixed breed. (That's cause my mom use to say mutt, and the way she said it was so mean.) What things may my dog be good at? She jumps high and runs fast. How many mph is a good time to accutely be competion? How many feet high is good to accutley be competion?

Mixed Breed Dog Clubs of America (MBDCA) (must be neutered)
United States Dog Agility Association
The UKC (United Kennel Clubs of America) have a seperate group that does mixed breed obedience trials but I cannot recall the name (must be neutered)
AKC is thinking about it for obedience but does not yet offer mixed breed competition

EDIT: OK, the UKC works thru AMBOR. Here is a site that gives the info I already passed on to you plus quite a few more organizations: http://www.k9web.com/dog-faqs/activities/obedience.html

In addition, I forgot to mention that the MBDCA also does conformation but I have no idea what criteria is used.

He could be in agility or obedience trials, although he can't be in another demonstrate because of the fact the he's a mix. there's a lot of gorgeous combine domestic canines, extra beneficial then purebreds! yet they do no longer look pointed out by utilising ability of any breed often used hence they at the instant are not waiting to be judged till it extremely is basically some exciting little interior sight demonstrate ingredient, which i'm specific exist. yet no there isn't any such ingredient as a real shows for mixes sorry.

Sorry but she is a mutt or mixed breed is you perfer. Anything that has more than one breed in its background is a mutt. If you are interested in agility you can compete in USDAA (Unitied States Dog Agility Assoc.) http://www.usdaa.com events which are open to mixed breeds.

actually.. she is a mutt/mongrel/mixed breed dog.. because she is a mixture of 2 (or more) breeds!

She cannot be shown in any AKC events.. except for maybe Canine Good Citizen.

You should contact some training clubs in your area, they may know of some events that you can include your mixed breed in.. including, flyball and agility.

speedy.. a "maltipoo" is a mutt too.. just a mutt with a cute name.

A mixed breed is a "mutt"... You can not show a mixed breed dog unless 4-H clubs allow it & that will depend on your age.

If I remember right the American Kennel club has an obedience class for mixed breeds, the requirement is they have to have proof of spay/neuter. Try their website.

My dog is 2 breeds, a greyhound and staffordshire bull terrier. He can run at 30mph! I was told when I got him that a dog which is 2 breeds is called a 'cross'.
There should be more competions for dogs like these!!!

My dog is not a 'mutt!'
Ever heard of the breed Maltepoo? That's a Maltese & Poodle cross.

Sorry but anything other than a purebred is a mutt - two breeds, three breeds or twenty! And I believe it's "Chihuahua". Check with local animal shelters - they often have fun dog shows that don't require a dog to be purebred.

She's not a sanctioned breed so there wouldn't be a breed standard or a confirmation class for her. Do you do agility? If you do obedience or agility she can complete in not breed specific competitions.
