A spokeswoman for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints said Huckabee's question is usually raised by those who wish to smear the Mormon faith rather than clarify doctrine.
"We believe, as other Christians believe and as Paul wrote, that God is the father of all," said the spokeswoman, Kim Farah. "That means that all beings were created by God and are his spirit children. Christ, on the other hand, was the only begotten in the flesh and we worship him as the son of God and the savior of mankind. Satan is the exact opposite of who Christ is and what he stands for."

Look into a religion that uses the bible as it main source not a 'made up' book that a person who beilve in ailen life forms and was arrested for rape wrote. I am not saying these things to be mean about the Mormons but there are alot of other things that just dont sound right with the religion. One, why is it that they are so divided? One faction allows a man to marry many women while another faction does not Jehovah God put an end to that in the New testament so if you beilve in Christ then you should only marry one person. Two:Why is it that only men go on these"preaching missions" for 2 years? Did Jesus say that all of us men and women have the duty of making disciples are seeking out like minded people. This was a life long commitment, not a 2 year contract. Keep searching and dont feel pressured into anything

LDS people have scripture that other christians do not. There are certain truths revealed in these scriptures.
One of these details some of the events that took place before the world was created. A plan was created by which God's children would receive physical bodies, learn to live by faith, and be tested, and be able to return to live with God and then learn and progress for ever.
Lucifer balked at the plan that was presented and presented his own plan that would glorify him. It was rejected. He rebelled and was cast out of Gods presence and became Satan.
If you're Christian, you believe that Adolf Hitler and Judas Iscariot are your brothers.
Additionally, Christian churches do not (or shouldn't anyway) teach anything on the matter because it's not said in the Bible that "Christ and Satan were never brothers."

This is not limited to LDS.
The simple fact is- if you believe the Bible- Jesus and the devil are both angels. Both were created by God. That fact alone make them brothers. They're also "brothers" to the rest of the angels as well as the demons because they share a common creator.
Satan the devil is a title meaning slanderer and opposer. The demons are angels who decided to follow after Satan. Once upon a time they were all good. Then they lusted after things they shouldn't have and their wrong desire gave birth to sin.
I don't understand why people have such a hard time understanding this. It doesn't mean Jesus or God are evil. Satan and the demons made themselves bad when they gave into their bad desires.

“… we believe that Jesus Christ is our elder brother—that he is actually the Son of our Father and that he is the Savior of the world, and was appointed to this before the foundations of this earth were laid.” (Brigham Young in JD, 13:235–36. Italics added.)
Jesus was the firstborn of the Father from the beginning. In a statement issued in 1916, the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve said: “Among the spirit children of Elohim the firstborn was and is … Jesus Christ to whom all others are juniors.” (Clark, Messages of the First Presidency [Joseph F. Smith, Anthon H. Lund, Charles W. Penrose], 5:33.) He was the birthright son, and he retained that birthright by his strict obedience. Through the aeons and ages of premortality, he advanced and progressed until, as Abraham described, he stood as one “like unto God.” (Abr. 3:24.) “Our Savior was a God before he was born into this world,” wrote President Joseph Fielding Smith, “and he brought with him that same status when he came here. He was as much a God when he was born into the world as he was before.” (Doctrines of Salvation, 1:32.) In that premortal estate, Jesus was, under the Father, the Creator and Redeemer of the Father’s worlds.

Because our Heavenly Father chose Jesus to be our Saviour,Satan became angry and rebelled. There was war in Heaven.Satan and has followers fought against Jesus and his followers.
In this great rebellion,Satan and all the spirits who followed him were sent away from the presence of God and cast down from Heaven. See revelation 12verse 7-9

Satan was once one of God's Angel's but he wanted God's power and no one is higher then God. God is the Almighty, Our Creator. So God hurled him down, and that is why satan is an evil person trying to rule the world, which he is ruling the world right now. Untill Jesus comes back and then God and Jesus will take care of that. Satan will be Angel Dust, (forgive me for the pun). From Dust we came from and to dust we will return. God Bless

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints teaches that everyone is a child of God and we are all brothers and sisters. Christ is our Elder Brother. Satan is he who rebelled against Our Father in Heaven and was banished from the Father's presence.

God is the Father of all spirits, including angels.
Jesus was the Firstborn, therefore a son of God.
Satan was a fallen angel, therefore a son of God.
By definition, two sons of the same father are called brothers.
We are all children of God, and therefore brothers and sisters.
(Yes, that means Jesus and Satan are our brothers).
Some spirits are more valiant than others.
It is not hard to imagine a righteous person and a wicked person coming from the same family. It happens all the time.

Yes, we believe that all of God's children can be defined, in our limited human thinking, as brothers and sisters if they are offspring of God.
They are no more related to each other than they are related to you. What's the hard part of understanding this?
Here's one of my favorite things, told to me by a member of another church.
" If Satan knows Jesus, believes in him too, then what makes Satan different than you? "
This is only pointing out that we are not saved by just knowing about God, or claiming to be saved, but by what we choose to do about it. How we live our lives is much more meaningful.
What makes us who we are isn't what we know - it's what we do about what we know.
