Thank you for asking this, that's great of you. And since you asked an open question, please let me tell you an open answer. In fact, the Muslims 'already' exist in each and every country in the planet, no where on the earth that doesn't have Muslim residents. From the far east to the far west, Islam is a religion & lifestyle of millions of people. So basically, we can not associate crime or terrorism or whatsoever with Muslims in such a generalization. But to be honest, your question is still valid. Let me explain : Islam, being the God's true religion, is the fastest growing religion. That's because Islam is in fact the religion of all prophets including Jesus, Moses, and Muhammd, and believes in all books that God sent : Torah, Bible and Quran. So people of all religions embrace Islam once they know it's the truth. For any person or a group of people this is a freedom of choice and not a problem at all, but not for politicians! Yes, Politicians really don't like when people do any choice that was not planned by the government, this means -- to them-- lose of power and credibility. Hence they FIGHT Islam and Muslims and anyother belief that stands in front of them. The truth is : Islam &/or Muslims are not the problem. The problem is the greedy and envious authorities that controls the media and other decision-making-tools in order to "control people'' and manipulate their minds. Muslims are normal people, just like everyone. Some good , some bad. Some rich .. some poor. Some white , some black. Just like followers of any religion. But Islam itself is a "totally different" religion, Becasue Islam is the truth. Those authorities that fight Islam hate the truth .. you know, they think "truth hurts" .. that's why. In actual daily life's, nobody ever really gives a fcuk about what is my religion and what is your religion and what is my neighbors dog's religion. And i have never even asked as to why is my neighbor's dog screwing my cat in broad day light !.
( a good example of not asking "what is the fcuk is my /your religion" )

Religion/s promotes co-existence,even the folks who dont have any religion or religious beliefs of what so ever , they too respects about " co-existence".Theres no problems at all.In fact , we dont have any problems with anyone when if comes to "what the fcuk is your religion?"
But sincerely , the world will have less problems without religion/s.

Coming back to the above question,Its very very true (tanpa was-was).That Islam is a religion that will kills/murders/bombs/shoots/maims/lies/slander , but i am not sure about rapes ( ada rogol kah? ) when it comes to defending their rights .
In other word,they dont bothers me, and i dont bothers them.

Other than that, we all lives peacefully screwing each other's women and have a nice glass of teh tarik later on.

It's more accurate to say "Why does any one religion find it hard to co-exist..." because all the major religions seem bad about sharing. This is likely due to the idea that only *their* religion is the correct one. Being faced with other religions who say the same basic thing challenges the very core of their faith (or so they feel) and no one likes their inner-most beliefs challenged.

many hindus have a problem with others esp muslims in india
many jews like the israeli government have a problem with coexisting with muslims after throwing them out and replacing them with foreign settlers and killing off their children
many christians have a problem with "terrorist quraan" like in the netherlands and george bush who seems not to get enough of experimenting with the middle east as his predessecors have for decades, creating terrorists to do their dirty work and killing off civilians to "prove they had nothing to do with it".
if you look closely in malaysia you'd see that the non muslims esp the chinese are really rich there and powerful
i've seen buddhist worship freely there even in the countryside
problems do arise every where but it's not "the fault of those closed minded muslims"
if you ever knew what happened in non muslim ireland or in any other areas , you'd see that muslims have less problems with others than people of other faiths esp since our religion doesn't tell us to kill off others the way you people claim, just if say your people come and attack us we should fight back in self defense the way it was mentioned in the quraan. although no one can fight back terrorist western governments who have always messed around in our countries without fear of consequences.
people back in the prophet's time didn't even fght back unless ordered by Allah or the prophet and suffered a lot . they didn't even leave their place unless they were ordered.

Here in India ,If u are a muslim it is very difficult to get a house for Rent if the owner is Hindu.. All they will say Muslim are not allowed... I stay in the apartment.. owner is muslim, he has given rent to two hindu family.. So u decide how really discriminate. And i have many non muslim friend..

I don't know about Malaysian muslims, but middle eastern ones hate other religions because that hatred is taught to them from the time they are children in grade school. It defines not just their faith but who they are as people in every aspect, meaning hating and wanting to kill others who don't believe as they do is ingrained in their culture.

To the person right above me, when is the last time you saw a Christian blow themselves up in a busy cafe to try to maximize the number of people murdered along with them, or when was the last time a Christian tried to get on an airplane just to kill everyone on board and drive the plane into a building with thousands of strangers in hopes of murdering them too??

Americans took California, which used to belong to Mexico, but you don't see Mexicans going around strapping dynamite to themselves to kill all the non-Mexicans in California....
