Last year I attended a Christmas party. The host served something called an Oreo Ball. It was the size of a cheese ball, but it was sweet. We spread it on graham crackers. Does anyone know where this can be bought or how to make it? I recall that it also had chocolate chips in it.

Oreo Balls Recipe

Ingredients:

1 package cream cheese
1 package Oreo's
1 package white chocolate

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Directions: Let the cream cheese soften, meanwhile, crush the Oreo's. (I use a blender, but first I put them in a Ziploc bag and let the kids jump on them to let them think they are helping.)

Mix the Oreo's and the cream cheese together, it is easiest if you add a little of each as you go. Roll them into a bite sized ball. Freeze them for at least an hour, but the longer the better. Once frozen, dip them in melted white chocolate and let cool. Best to keep refrigerated.

1/4 cup (1/2 stick) room-temperature, unsalted butter 1/4 cup vegetable shortening 2 cups sifted confectioners’ sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract To make the cream, place butter and shortening in a mixing bowl, and at low speed, gradually beat in the sugar and vanilla. Turn the mixer on high and beat for 2 to 3 minutes until filling is light and fluffy.
