Because the editors of the final canon of the bible wanted as many different view points in there as possible.

Christianity is to me is a blending of so many different religions that having many different messages, that would appeal to as many of them as possible is part of why it grew as it did.

Paul's writings are a perfect example of this, you can read Paul and find just about anything you may be looking for.

For a surgeon a bit of uncertainty is understandable. If your surgery has a 50% chance of saving my life, and that's my best option, then I'll take it and be grateful. After all, you're not God. It's not like you're omniscient or anything.
