I want to pay for my own sins, and I want those who harm me to pay for theirs. How is that not ok?

Nope not an atheist, but I don't believe in sin either. Only consequence (Karma) I use "sin" because I am speaking to your understanding.

I would re-think wanting to pay for your own sins.

You don't have nearly enough "money" to pay that bill.

God Bless You.

Actually, that's perfectly fine. But rejecting atonement for sins is the same as rejecting Jesus. Wanting revenge for people who harm you, is not love, and so again, you reject Jesus. Rejecting Jesus, or rejecting God, means you will get exactly what you asked for: an eternity separated from God. Most people think hell is painful physical torture. But this is an unfounded belief, with no real biblical basis. The truth is, and this is biblical, hell is a place of torment, which comes from seeing God at judgement day, and the total bliss that would come from that, and then being ripped away from that perfect love, to spend an eternity somewhere else, never to see God again. Here's an analogy: You fall in love, you can't live without her, and then you're ripped away from her for all time, and you can never get over her, and you want her back so bad, you gnash your teeth in torment and anguish. Now, multiply the intensity of those feelings by infinity. That's hell.

You are completely free to reject the Messiah's atoning sacrifice. Feel free to pay for your own sins. Do you know the price?

Romans 6:23
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of Yahweh is eternal life in Messiah Yahshua our Master.

If you don't want part in the atonement, you will pay for your own sins just as you wish. You just don't get say in whether others want to take advantage of it for themselves.

It's funny you use the word sin. Most atheists don't believe in it.

Sounds like you understand accountability too well to be suckered into false promises of eternal glory.

Atonement isn't for everyone, and I respect that.
