I think going inside a store. You can talk directly with the manager. It also shows you are keen to get a job.

Borders I know has in-store application kiosks. It really doesn't make much of a difference if you apply online or go into the store. When you walk in, the people you talk to are usually just cashiers or customer service people, so you don't really need to make a "good impression" on them. Apply online and a few days later, call in, ask to speak with a manager, and then ask them if they are hiring.

go in the store, apply either via paper or online and than go to customer service. Let them know that you just applied and would like to talk to the store manager about possible employment. Most companies are always looking for quality individuals that they should not say no to an immediate interview

In my experience it works best if you walk in and ask if they are hiring and if they are I would apply in store and online this to let them know I want the job.

I personally think that walking inside a store is better. Sometimes they trick you online.. not always but i wouldnt apply online. Besides its funner to look for a job by going to stores :D

Any type of retail store you're better off just walking in and asking them if they are hiring. They'll usually have you fill out an application either on paper or on their computer in their store.

I understand a lot of employers admire the spunk of someone who will walk in and ask for a job. Also never take a friend with you. It appears you need a crutch.

Apply in person and call at least once a week. This will show your interest.
