The priesthood is not the same as in the Old Testament as when only the tribe of Levi could be priest for the Lord. There are many religion which are teaching that kind of knowledge, but it is not so.

In the New Testament all the Christians (those who are Christ like) are priests before God, there is no separate class between priests and ordinary people.

"4 Coming to Him as to a living stone, rejected indeed by men, but chosen by God and precious, 5 you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 6 Therefore it is also contained in the Scripture,
“ Behold, I lay in Zion
A chief cornerstone, elect, precious,
And he who believes on Him will by no means be put to shame.”" (1 Pe 2:4-6)

"But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10 who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy." (1 Pe 2:9-10)

There are several different kinds of priests mentioned in Scriptures. Christ is the High priest then there are the sacerdotal priests and last there are the priesthood of believers. The sacerdotal bishops, priests pastor the flocks and deliver the Sacraments "in persona Christi" and the priesthood of believers are called to evangelism.

It's one thing that we have become by accepting Christ. We are also 'citizens of a Heavenly kingdom', saints, brothers, heirs to the throne of Christ, etc.

As priests we minister to those who ask, bring spiritual offerings to God, and anything else He asks.
