I have been tested for carpal tunnel twice and nothing which I doubt very much. the numbness has stopped for a few weeks during the night in fingers as I have my arm propped up on a pillow. Now recently have been having pulsating in the base of thumb and sometimes tingling in fingers and still sore forearm. Not taking any medications but rubbing cream which does help at times. Is this arthritis or something else? Please advise am at my wits end.

These symptoms could be related to a sister condition to carpal tunnel syndrome. The sister condition is called cubital tunnel syndrome and affects the other fingers on the hand. The other possibility is that it could be arthritis. One way they can find out if it is to do x-rays of the joints to see what it shows if they haven't done that yet.
