I think, just accepting each other. If we're ever going to get anywhere in this world, we need to stop judging others by their religion -- because it's not getting us anywhere.

If anything, stereotyping due to religion will only drag us down -- that is, if it hasn't already. It has at least begun; I know that much.

Communication is, of course, imperative. If we don't communicate with others, how can we get to know them? Talk to others, if possible. Understand them. Be open, don't ridicule. If you can't do that much, at least observe without saying overly negative things. If you must point out faults, go ahead, but don't be harsh.

Don't let yourself be changed for the worse, don't change others for the worse, and just do your best to give everyone a chance. It really is worth it.

It depends on what you want to understand. Common threads will come together but they must have a beginning, what is it you wish to understand? A country or a people or religion or what? Religion can be a barrier if you wish it to be, I married a Catholic and I am Protestant. I am a woman and tend to be more religiously? thinking than my husband. Just because people have different religions doesn't mean there cant be harmony. some people (actually alot) hide behind religion as a source of distrust of a different culture or a different way of life. or just plain jealousy can do it. why?? insecurity? centuries of history behind them? I am also of american indian descent and boy do we have a misunderstood history. Men were actually hired to destroy us. why? Jealousy of our land and just because we were described as "heathens" another religious word. go figure

It would take a large portion of the American public to approach there State Senator and ask them to take it into arbitration. There is far to much hatred over color nationality and religion within this World and it will continue until mankind has brought each Country to their knees. At that time maybe we will see Global peace.............

Listen.

Without preconceived ideas.

And instead of getting offended by something, try to find out why the other person thinks that. You don't have to agree, of course, but asking why someone thinks that is a lot more helpful than getting angry.

Strive to find common bonds and similarities, not polarities.

Strive to learn and educate ourselves about eachother for the sake of peace and understanding eachother - not for the sake of pointing out the flaws in eachother and seeking a 'holier than thou' mentality.

just listening to another person reason out their thoughts is a start. that seems to be the main problem in this world is everyone sets their beliefs in concrete and everyone else is wrong. openmindedness could change the world in amazing ways. too bad it'll never happen.

If we are open to the opportunity without prejudice and judgement, then it shall happen. I think we need to see through the eye of the child because they may teach us how. Every child need to learn how to do this from another.
