I live in California and I am taking the driving test tomorrow and I just found out that they check your car's license plates. So if I don't have a front one (the car dealer only had 1 license plate), will I be disqualified?

Well since I'm only 16, my dad bought the car from a Toyota dealer and the front plate says licensed toyota car. But the dealer said that the car only came with one plate.

The sole job of the DMV is to be a royal pain in your butt. You bet they will. You also might get a ticket out of it, Go back to the dealer and demand the other plate or new ones. Unless it's a temporary plate which you do not mention if it was or not.

probably won't get to even start

Wadda you mean the dealer only had one plate? what did he do? sell the other one to the next guy? If he is an actual licensed dealer and took your plate money and didn't give you plateS the he is in trouble.

You might. Call before you go so you don't waste your time. I'm in Texas and I was pulled over for no front license. Granted, I drove around without it for 3 years, but I finally got pulled over.

that would not make sense. the two plates must be as much as date. And plates do no longer designate INSPECTION, they designate REGISTRATION. Me thinks daddy-o's vehicle is lacking the BRACKET that HOLDS the PLATE.
