My previous question was deleted, I had to rephrase and repost... sorry.

If? *IF* a fundie Christian wins the White House? Er, they're ALL gunna be Christians, and several Democrats are barely any less religious than the Republicans. They just don't seem to play it up as much.

I'll react in just the way I'll react to every single other president elect... I'll shrug. SSDD. I'm of course leaning strongly, STRONGLY Democrat but I'm sure, in the end, they'll screw everything up almost as badly as Republicans will.

Call me a cynic if you will.

Luckily, that's unlikely. If it does somehow happen - ugh! I'm not sure if I want to think about it. I guess we'll have to politic more. Maybe change tactics a bit - I'm not sure.

I'm not going to leave though. Even though it sounds bad, it's not as bad as you think. There are some limits. It would take quite a lot to change the US into a true theocracy.

I worry more about foreign policy. A fundamentalist might think God is on his side and start invading left and right.

Well, as an Ozzie atheist I'll personally prepare for more plagues than ancient Egypt ever saw - and probably floods between the droughts, until the sky falls down completely.

The next election is a glimmer of hope after 8 long years of disaster. If another fundie is elected, I think I will literally cry.

certainly, no. maximum atheists are smart, knowledgeable, logical thinkers. in case you ask an atheist "Are there lavatories in heaven," they should at latest element out which you have asked a loaded question. by making use of saying "There at the instant are not any lavatories in heaven," you're acknowledging that there is a heaven for bogs to no longer exist in.

I live in India but moving to Australia in February.

Won't affect me much but I feel sorry for Americans.

America is a great country going downhill due to republicans.

I will react badly. Walls will be broken, knuckles bruised. Luckily, my walls and knuckles are safe because it is not going to happen.
