Bangs frame you face very nicely and highlights you eyes and curly hair makes will make you look very, very cute.

I have curly thick hair. I think it also depends on the shape of your face. My face is oval/square shaped, and I find that it looks a lot rounder when I have side-bangs. For a while I had straight-across bangs, and they made my chin look kind of big. It depends on your face. If you think you can pull it off, go for it. It may also be a good idea to straighten your bangs, because that keeps them from frizzing up or going poofy.
