I have read the bible many times. I take a bible with me where ever I go and read it while Iam waiting for an appointment or during lunch and on breaks. Iam a Catholic Christian and I dont pretend for anyone. God is a part of me

I am the exception? I am a Christian. My family doesn't understand, I have very few people I talk to outside of work. But it's worth it. I give myself, which is only fair, Jesus gave Himself. Also I see that this life is short. It doesn't last long enough to fret about, and then it's over for eternity. My Lord promises a great deal after this part of my life is over. I believe Him, and I can hardly wait for it to happen.

That be impossible for anyone to put a number on? Pretending would be one of the worse things you could do before God's eyes. Remember the scripture, and I cannot recall where its at, "I would that you be hot or cold, because if I find you lukewarm I will spew you out of my mouth"? I think that about says it for those who choose to pretend.

Actually, I wanted to be an outcast for a while there, and I was pissed off enough at God (and vocal enough about it) to have my family thinking I was going to hell. Trust me, I didn't make any attempt whatsoever to please my family with my religious choices. Where I am in my relationship with God now is honest.

Apparently not enough...the world is in a terrible mess. What does the Bible say about man's inhumanity-to-man? What ever happened to the commandment "treat your neighbor as yourself?" Maybe we are all just so full of self hatred we've all become sadomasochists. Sick!
Yeah, lots of hipocrites out there. Money/Satan rules. I too see it everyday. You can only do the best you can.

ironically, i believe in god and read the bible, but downplay it, so friends and family don't give me grief about it; mostly friends though. however, if they ask me honestly and without sarcasm or criticism, then i'll go into detail about my faith. but the result is the same. either way, one can be an outcast.

I think you're talking about yourself. i think that you should think about you're own question. people belive that their is more then themselves in this world. i personally started out just going to church because i was expected to and so on. but now i have a real relationship with the big guy and i hope you do what you think is best.
Merry christmas.

How many of us are pretending to be a mushroom, but really aren't? How many are pretending to be straight, but are really gay??? Too many to count!
Do what you want....It is your life and you have to live with what you choose. God gave you free will.....
