Use an anti-frizz serum before you straighten. You might have to try a couple of products before you find one (or a combination of some) that work well for your hair. Asking your hair dresser to suggest a product might be a good place to start. Avoid products with alcohol in the ingredients.

<~ stylist.
3 options:
1. Purchase a mini-flat iron. Usually about 1/2 inch wide and small for short hair, use a silk or shine serum before your hair is dry, then use iron, then apply a small amount more of serum.

2. Get a relaxer. If you always wear your hair short, the risk of damage is far less likely, and will be cut often anyway.

3. Get a perm straightener. it will relax your curl, without taking it away completey, and for days you really want it straight use #1.

Straightening balms, and other "lotions" are designed for blowing out the curl, so in your case, I'm assuming you don't blow dry, these products will not work. Gloss, shine, or silk, serums, based with silicone or silk, will be much more of an assitant to smoothing out frizz, and aiding in straightening.

Good luck!

Wash with moisturizing shampoo, conditioner (for dry hair) then put a hair serum like FX Silk Drops into towel dried hair (not too much though). If your hair is short, us a medium toothed comb and a hair dryer to straighten.

Relaxants are frightening, they do serious damage.

The key to the anti-frizz is really the glossing serum. Focus on the body of your hair though when using it, and not so much the roots. If too much is used at the roots, it can make the hair seem oily instead of healthy/shiny.

Go to Walmart by a ceramic hair straightener and some garnier fructice shine spray ( little green spray bottle). Section out your hair, spray a minimal amount on each section, hold so that section is stretched out straight, then run straighner over it. Your hair should be very straight and shiny. ( make sure to stay away from water or moisture as this will make your hair go back to curly.

Wash it and use plenty of conditioner, then while it's damp put flexible hold hair gel and some kind of gel that's meant to protect your hair from the heat, then towel dry it as well as you can, comb it through as straight as you can, let it air dry, then once it's dry straighten it.

You mean "straighten?" Thought so. Go to a salon & get it done right, so you won't end up with the frizzies.
