Does the bible say why anybody would want a Camel to go through the eye of a needle?

"eye of a needle" was the term they used for gates in city walls. A camel would have to get down on all fours and wriggle through it.

Its just a figure of speech, and I think that its taken from the passage that says something about there is a better chance to get a camel through an eye of a needle then a rich man to get into the kingdom of heaven.

yes. the eye of the needle was referring to a gate that led into jerusalem. The city was surrounded by a wall and merchants had to come through the eye.....it was quite small so in order to get their camels in, they had to unload them and have their stuff checked (kinda like a security point) and then lead the camels through. The parable is basically to say that it would be easier to get the camel through (since it was quite an ordeal) than for someone who worships money to get into heaven because they are simply storing their treasures up on earth and not really looking for Jesus

People misread this verse because they don't understand the Hebrew language or culture. The eye of the needle is a small doorway at the edge of a cities walls. The only way for a camel to enter is to put all its baggage to the side, get on its knees and crawl through,

The eye of the needle was an entry place then. It was a real pain in the butt to go through because you had to take all your gear off the camel. Then put it back on once you passed through.

The Eye of the Needle was a small gate into the city of Jerusalem where Merchants would be able to bring their camels into the city at night because it was easier for the gaurds to attack intruders in a small narrow gate. A merchant would have to dismount the camel take off all the merchandise and literaly have it crawl through the opening on its knees to fit it through the door. This illistrates to the merchant that He must "unload" his baggage which was his worship of money and humble himself before the King who would guide him to enter the narrow gate into Kingdom of Heaven which was symbolized by the city of Jerusalem .

I've heard there was a gate (a rather narrow one) in Jerusalem called the eye of the needle. You might want to get a camel through it to get the camel to the other side.
