Atheist refers to a person who lacks belief in god(s). That is all. It doesn't mean they're an insensitive ***hole, like you.

"I feel great sorrow for everyone involved in last weeks shooting"

If you were genuinely saddened by the incident, you would have realized that posting such an obtuse, uncaring question demonstrates otherwise...

First of all, he was not an ex-christian. He was a fundie lunatic that even the other fundie lunatics rejected.
Next. I saw nobody on here saying anything supportive of this act of lunacy (aside from some rather dark humour). Not atheist, not Buddhists and not Muslims.
If anything most of the atheists simply regard this as an example of how dangerous religious fanatics can be.

Are you out of your mind? Or just doing the "christian" thing by telling of YOUR great sorrow (you are such a good person aren't you) and then condemning atheists for the thoughts that evidently originated in YOUR mind. (small as it is.)

I have read and seen many of the answers here, and reported those who used foul language and suggested you be killed and the like, as for the question.
I can say..after a over a year on yahoo Answers R&S and Yahoo Christian Chat for years longer than That, I can say that I have met many Rabid Militant Atheist who are calling on a genecidal war against Christians and to burn down all Churches with all deliberate force, so I can say, that there are those who Shouted for jot upon hearing about the shootings.
Sad isn't it ? But true, those who insult you, well they are intitled to their opinion.

No. What a ridiculous assertion. And insulting.
No one would condone such behaviors from anyone. That you think any atheist would support some gun-toting nut shows you know next to nothing about atheists.

Wow... 25 answers, and all of them flaming you. Must be a record.

So now he was an ex-christian? Sounds more like he was a hard core fundie gone wild. Anyway, I do not support anyone who would resort to such actions.

Ex-Christian does not = atheist.

And as far as I know from what Christians proclaim to be, person who makes the implication that I would support anyone who did such a thing does not = Christian.

Why would I be satisfied? It saddens me to know that people were killed for no other reason that some mentally unbalanced person decided that they would cut someone's life short.

NO! just because I'm an atheist doesn't mean i want Christians to die, that is terrible. No one should be murdered. I felt bad for them, and everyone else who was shot, murdered, raped, etc

That is one of the most ignorant, offensive, insulting questions I've seen in a long time. There is one thing I'm thankful about: that not all Christians are like you.
