I would think that it would depend on the performance that was given. Generally if the audience was "moved" the response from the audience would be a LONGER applause,
rather than a short one. I have always felt comfortable by gauging the other audience members response, however if
I FELT the performance was worth a LONGER response I would react accordingly.

There is no set number. Clap for as long as you feel you would like.

i just clap right before everyone else stops because you'll look like a moron if you are the only one clapping
