Would you let your pay check be taxed by 51 percent, if your recieved the following: free medical care, free education (university education included) but no taxes on food or clothing.
Keep in mind that there are countries that already do this. The Swiss, Cuba and Great Brittian have been doing it for years. They all have a lower death rate than the US.

Would you vote for it and why?

My daughter lived in Stockholm one semester in the 90s. She said no one was poor, but 'normal' middle class food freely available in the U.S. was rare --

So it's not as simple as it sounds. It'd be great if there were no poor people here; but not sure Socialism is the way to get there.

your information is false

the cause of the lower death rate in many foreign nations is their relative poverty. America has high death rates in auto accidents [drunk driving] and violence [murder]. These have nothing to do with the services you mention and so shouldn't be included.

after you take those deaths out of America's statistics, we have the world's highest life expectancy.

btw, the free medical care in Cuba nearly killed Castro [they imported a Spanish doctor to save him -- rumor says the Cuban docs botched a relatively routine operation] and Brits are turning in increasing numbers to private medical care because their public system doesn't work very well.

university education isn't free in Britain. While it may be "free" in Cuba, the student pays for it with a life of servitude and saying "yes, master" to the all powerful State.

so, I'd vote no.

Let's see

Top US tax bracket = 35%
California Tax = 9%
Medicare and Social Security = 15.3% ( oh yeah, you pay both halves)
Sales Tax = 6%
Total = 65.3%

You want to give me a tax cut of 14% and pay for my health care and education, Hell yeah, sounds like a good deal to me.

We don't realize it, but the US is one of the most heavily taxed developed countries in the world. Sure our federal income taxes are much lower than say Britton or many European countries. But we take it up the rear with so many hidden taxes. The average American works until mid May of each year, just to pay all the taxes they will encounter throughout the year.

Nothing is free. The question is how is going to be paid for and is it beneficial to society in general to do it a particular way.

No, I would vote for those wanting to live like they do in other countries to be deported immediately so they can be happy.

No way. I like making my own choices of how to spend my money. It's bad enough that my social security taxes can't be invested the way I please.
