So on the block is a g@y bar and a church

The bar -has a bunch of people in it - that are dancing drinking and socializing -

The church has a bunch of people in it teaching division and laws about an invisible sky god - who needs to have people killed for disagreeing with him

Even if this church/sky god now preaches love - it has a dark and horrid history that does not bode well for his character/family life etc

Even with the "love" comes the statemet god doesn't want you to do that it is bad - division and hate and I am better than you permeate the message

Meanwhile at the g@y bar an argument over drapes has begun and ended - there might be a purchase of a toy poodle tommorow and so on

Which is more dangerous to society

Which is most likely or has had a past of promoting violence to get it's way

For most gay poeple being gay is completely natural and they are not hindered by guilt over who they are. They tend to be happy with their lifestyles. Religion tends to be full of self-denial and guilt, all for the promise of a better existance after you're already dead. Christianity in particular kills just about every natural prediliction a person can have, so they feel frustration and guilt and they are much more likely to go ballistic from all their pent up emotion. So you figure it out.
Oh, and gay poeple usually don't try to force their way of life down your throat.
Religious poeple do, or at least scorn you for not accepting their way of life.

Wow, my church isn't that way. I assume you've been to all churches in the world, and all gay bars to make these remarks. You seem to be quite the expert on this. It's apparent you have a hate for God.
Now, let me ask you this. what is more dangerous for your soul? Believing in God, and having eternal life, or indulging in your own sexual immorality and paying the price with your very soul? I don't know what church you are talking about, violence and such. None that I've ever attended. But, the TRUE CHURCH, (all believers in the Lord Jesus Christ) are the ones who will go to heaven to be with the Lord when He returns. And if you don't mind me saying, I wouldn't want to be sitting in a gay bar, talking about drapes when He comes back!! God Bless

1. This question is terribly general.
Now i know a lot of gays, and I know a lot of church-goers. Actually, I know a lot of gays who are church-goers. This is completely besides the point.

Now any bar might be seen as a den of immorality; a gay bar is only worse if you view homosexuality as sinful.
I would have to say that bars are, in general, not great places for feeding the soul. That's what church is for.
On the other hand, I would say churches aren't that great for kicking back and unwinding; that's what bars are for. If you are gay (or if you are a straight girl tired of dealing with playa' boys) then this can mean a gay bar.
Now, neither are particularly evil, and both have their place in the grand scheme of society. With this in mind allow me to conclude that super malls are more evil than churches and gay bars combined.
Yup.

I've never known the proprietor of a gay bar to send its patrons out on suicide bombing missions, book burning rituals, or for the owner of said bar to sit on a throne of gold in a city built just for him (pope much?) So I'm gonna go with church as the more dangerous of the two, I don't recall a single instance where listening to gloria estefan and shaking your hairy butt ever hurt anyone!

Oversimplified honey. The overwhelming majority of churches you might encounter today aren't preaching hate or promoting violence...in fact, very few ever did (though some evil people with political agendas have certainly hijacked the church on several notable occasions). As for the bar, how many of those dancing, drinking, socializing folks will get behind the wheel of their car at the end of the night...and how much damage will they do?

The church. Nothing is expected from the bar. The bar is not called to lead people to do good works and to love their neighbors. Churches are, and they rarely do their duty.

What a great question. Jesus himself said "The kingdom of God is inside you and all around you, not in buildings made of wood and stone" Church is a corruption of Jesus' intentions. And Gay bars are FUN!!!
I think the answer is more harm, hurt, and evil come out of churches then gay bars! woop woop!

Let me way the options. There's a chance some one in the church will go crazy and try to blow me up. There's a chance some one in the bar will go crazy and try to kiss me. Hmmmm? I'll take the kiss.

At least at Church theres less of a chance that you will go home with someone you aren't married to, have homosexual sex and risk aids.

Church does the opposite than create division and hate. It creates unity and love. Your bar, on the other hand, tends to bend in a more selfish, indulgent matter.

I would say the bar is pretty dangerous.

I don't know...not every gay bar is a den of sin, and not every church is a cabal of intolerant lobbyists. So...I'll just call it a draw, in that, in their most ideal states, neither pose any threat to society.
