to intake no more calories than those you expend.

If you want to eat more just because you like it you have to expend more energy to get rid of the extra calories. Obesity is just a mismatch between the intake and the expenditure.

A construction worker will find that on the second day on the job he will start to crave fatty foods. He will still eat in moderation but his demands increased.

Ok you're human and you have a weakness, we all do. mine is chocolate. To lose weight you have to get out and do something 3 times a week. And the best way to get rid of those pounds is to eat 6 small meals a day and not 3 big ones. If you have smaller meals then you won't be as hungry and completely throw away all your hard work of getting the pounds off. And make sure you do give inot the weakness once in awhile. Once a week treat yourself. Good luck.:)

it means eating what you want-- just know where to draw the line, i.e. small portions. i went on weight watchers when i was 15 and although i don't always abide by it now, i learned the basics of how to eat in moderation and it has really changed my life. eating slowly is one of the hardest things for me to master, because i am always so busy and on the run (who isn't?) but it makes a big difference. you end up eating less because you feel full faster and it will help you lose weight. i love sweets and italian food, too, and i can tell you that it is hard. but choose one rich sweet or heavy thing per day and savor it. it will be like rewarding yourself for using restraint!

You can have Italian food everyday if you like. Just make sure it's made with fresh ingredients. What's healthier than garlic, tomatoes, and olive oil? Add lean meat if you like. Processed cheese, like what they have in ready-to-order pizza ... nah! Maybe you need to learn to make fresh pizza at home. Sweets in moderation means very little quantity. Again, it can be daily, but only one small serving, not a heaping bowl of ice cream, not more than two small cookies, not a whole chocolate bar...

You really can have it all but when they say in moderation, it's portion control and yes, it does work. Usually involves limiting the bad foods (eg. a slice of pizza, handful of nuts, eraser sized piece of cheese) and eat up all the veggies you want. Check out the food guide. It seems like small portions but they are proper portions for our bodies. It takes some time to get used to but you feel really good when you are controlling your portion and get satisfied on less food than we are accustomed to.

One slice of pizza or a small bowl of pasta, and balance it out with lighter meals during the day if you know your going to eat something not so healthy. I know this is pretty hard especially if it is a food u like, but try to drink lots of water before hand, this way u fill up quicker.

Eating in moderation is not eating large meals all at once. Instead eat 6 small meals instead of 3 big ones. As long as you make some sacrifices, you should be okay. Just make sure you don't indulge too much, cut back a little at least.

Eating in moderation means eating until you are just satisfied enough to move on to your next activity. But you should try never to skip meals. And you two should eat two small, nutritionally-valuable meals in between breakfast/lunch and lunch/dinner.

It means not eating the whole cake, just a slice.

Not the whole pizza.

Just a couple slices.

Not the whole tub of ice cream.

Just a few scoops.

Get it?

Just not eating a whole bunch.

Watching what you eat, without starving yourself.

It's actually the best diet, with excercise.

It's not exactly a diet, but it helps with your health and weight.

It's what they do at weight watchers.
