No, actually I prefer for the asker to pick a best answer.

It's nice to know what the community thinks and all, but when I answer, I'm speaking primarily to the asker and then secondarily to whomever else might read what I have to say.

I like it better when the person that asked the question picks the Best Answer. I mean you asked the question, you should be the one that decides. Plus when I ask questions I always pick the Best Answer, it is the most fun part (okay did I sound 12 there?). ;0)

No, not at all. I sure hope it doesn't annoy people that half of my questions DO go to vote. Sometimes I simply can't pick a "best" out of all the outstanding responses I receive and sometimes, well, real life gets in the way and I don't make it back in time to pick a best answer.

Anyhow, again, no it doesn't bother me in the least.

I always choose my best answers too. I like people who choose for themselves. When I ask something sometimes it is hard NOT to go with my friends/contacts but I always choose the best answer for ME (what I want to hear lol) no matter who it is from.

It does. I in specific circumstances flow all around the internet looking the suitable answer, then 3 months later it comes lower back "voted". i ask your self whether the guy who cant elect on a ultimate answer has problem picking which outfits to placed on. I particularly have a psychological image of them mendacity on the floor of their closet in a fetal place. I additionally hate spending time answering a query, hit "placed up" and discover that the damn ingredient has been deleted. I particularly have a sister in regulation called "Tweety". She additionally solutions to Birdy, or Tweeders.

They are your questions to do with as you wish. I personally like it better when the asker him or herself has chosen my answer as the best one. I don't know why. Perhaps it is because I feel like the person actually cares enough to look at all the answers and isn't just on here to kill time.

It doesn't bother me, either way. If the asker sees an answer that he thinks is best, that's great. If s/he can't choose, then letting it go to voting makes good sense.

I like going back and seeing who got best answer... it's always fun to see the response I wish I had thought of!

I figure the questioner is better qualified to ascertain the correct answer. Popular vote is not always the truth.

No, it doesn't annoy me at all. Why would it?
I didn't even know that you could set preferences that way.
Who cares about that, anyhow? I mean, why would it matter to anyone?
I never pay attention. LOL, if you hadn't asked about it, I'd not have known.
