Around 4-5 weeks along she will get a bigger, harder tummy. The most popular signs are hard tummy, puppy movement at about 5 weeks along, eating more, being more picky, peeing more due to enlarged uterus, digging, getting lazier, laying around more, and a possible temperament change. The first signs don't come until about 4 weeks along sometimes later. I really need to warn you that chihuahuas due mostly to their size often have birthing complications that if not dealed with correctly can lead to death of the pup and/or the mom. You need to know how to take care of your dog and know how to tell she is ready for labor so you can be with her. You also need to know what to expect during labor so if something goes wrong you can call the vet. Sometimes the situation is too serious to waste precious time to call and wait for the vet so it would be a good idea to know what to do in certain situations. Answers to all these and more on whelping/stages of whelping you can find on http://www.hilltopanimalhospital.com/reproduction.htm
Your dog can show all the signs of pregnancy and not be pregnant sometimes. It is called false pregnancy and it can now be ruled out by getting a test at the vet called repro check.

Take it to a vet have a gravid spay done You clearly don't care all that much about the dog if you haven't had it spayed yet and let it breed so you can sell the ill bred mutt puppies. Small dogs often need emergency c-section that cost 1,000+ and I highly doubt you have that since you are not willing to take the dog to the vet to be spayed

You really need to get your dog to a vet. Chihuahuas are among the most difficult dog pregnancies/births. Many births require emergency c-sections, because the puppies are too large for the birth canal. If the c-section is not performed, the mom and all puppies will die.

Do the world a favor, go to the vet. Have the puppies aborted and spay you chihuahua.

Stop using your dog like a vending machine to make money off of and get her spayed.

You NEED to go to the vet, if she's pregnant you need to see the vet anyway... Better yet, get her spayed! There is absolutely NO reason someone that doesn't even know if their dog is pregnant should be adding to the pet overpopulation problem. The puppies will just wind up in a shelter and die anyway and your girl could die giving birth... Why not just take care of her the way you should.

you really need to take her to the vet. She needs to start pre-natal care, and she should be monitored during her pregnancy.

Chi's often need cecarians to give birth.. you need to start a relationship with your vet NOW, so if you have complications during her birth in the middle of the night, you will be better prepared.

My Gma's Chihuahua would have died if she gave birth again. She almost died when she was giving birth her first time. You should see a vet.

You absolutely need to take your chi to the vet if you even suspect she is pregnant.
Better yet, get her spayed, small dogs like chis have a lot of problems giving birth - it's dangerous for them, especially if you don't know anything about breeding.
She could die without proper vet care, please don't take a chance.

OMG I LOVE CHI'S! they are a very difficult breed and usually need a seazarian delievery! if she is pregnant she will start getting swollen nipples,a belly and her belly might start to hurt when it is touched. that is the best way to tell. you might be able to use a human pregnancy test on a dog but i dont think it will work! ask on here! some poeple might know the answer! good luck! o i also didn't mention, if she was in heat during that time there is a possibility she could be pregnant! if she wasn't she isn't!

she will get a tummy but not get big till end of her term. they are small dogs. i have learnt from them that you let the male and female mate all they want that ensures that you will have more and not have to pay for serious bills whent hey are born. you also may have more but be willing to nurse them yourself. she can have 4 ok but if there is runt you will need to feed it and stuff and keep it warm for long while. they are small and need warming pad. good luck
