Muslims......Why(for what reasons)aren't you Christian?

Not muslim, but wouldn't you assume that they are not christian because the a. do not believe jesus is god and b. because they found their own religion to be compelling and believable.

According to the Holy Quran, the Gospels were revealed and were indeed valid, however throughout years it became distorted. Therefore as the final revelation, the Holy Quran arrived. Muslims believe a lot of the same things as Christians, but the differences that are valid in the Quran is the difference maker.

Another point is regarding Prophet Isa (Jesus). Muslims believe Jesus was a prophet, meanwhile Christians believe he was the son of God. If that's correct, why in the world would the son of God be mortal and die helplessly crying on the cross.

I respect Christians and am not a religiously intolerant person, but I also love the religion of Islam.

It always confused me no one could answer my questions with a good explanation, I would get responses well you shouldn't question the bible you should just accept it. Christianity just isnt the right religion for me I got better answers and explanations from Muslims that made more sense and I'm very happy as a Muslim :)

Trust me you can never convince some one who is well educated and has been Muslim all his life that Christianity is a better religion than Islam.

Your belief that Jesus is God is based on conjectures. I don't find any where in Bible where Jesus says I am the God or I am the only son of God or I will give my life for the sins of all who believe my sacrifice of life. God says in clear words over and over in Quran that I am the Creator of Heavens and Earth and every thing between the two. God Swears and says certainly O Mohammad you are the Messenger of God...not just once but many times in Quran.

Lots of well educated and wise Ex-Christians have converted as Muslims from Europe and America. Best would be that you ask them or read their stories to know why they quit being Christians and became Muslims. I give you few sites where they have given their stories:

Find Hamza Yousuf and listen to him. His several lectures are listed here. He is son of a Professor in Northern California, converted at age 17 and now Director of a Muslim Institue in California. When christianity manages to get itself out of its historical confusion and choas,then your question becomes legitimate.
Trinity=false doctrine
Quran is the only holy book that has no versions-one original copy since the begining.
Islam makes sense when it treats Jesus,moses and Muhammed as human beings that were only messengers of God . Claiming jesus is god or son of god,throws Christianity immediately in the myth section.

If Christianity means following Christ, I am a Christian. I wouldn't be a Muslim if didn't beleive in Jesus...in Who he was what he preached.

He never preached he was God, and that He should be worship, nor he ever talked about Trinity.

Instead he said..worship One God, your lord and MY lord'

when Christians changed the word of God (Bible) at the council of nicia...Adding some things and removing other books of the bible.. (The Council of Nicia is a Factual event that Christian do not deny)... Muslims believe God That God Sent another Prophet to the world to lead mankind back to Gods true words
