Dogs don't have religion so it wouldn't be against teh dogs and many people live in mixed religious lives and they can so-exist so go get teh dog spayed

I am interested - what religion is this?

I know many catholics are against birth control. Although that is no longer a church statement due to STDs and AIDS.

I know of no religion that is expressly against animal alterations. Most religions don't recognize that animals have souls or spiritual rights - some don't even recognize basic rights of animals, they are for human use.

sometimes a vet can prescribe a hormone reducer that prevents the dog from ever going into heat, It can be used in place of a spay if you have the money.

Ask your dog if she is a member of your congregation and wants to breed puppies her whole short, sad life or if she would rather just be a happy, healthy pet - and spayed.

I think I'd talk to my pastor and see what he thinks. He would probably tell you to neuter your pets to keep the pet population down.
