Since I was about three or four, I constantly have had Deja Vu's / Precognitive dreams. It grew from one or two a year, to more recently two or three a week. The dreams fluctuate in vividness and importance greatly, it seems to be very random. One night, I could dream about taking a car ride the next day, and then be able to know what type of car is coming up behind me and even be able to recite the licence plate. Other times, I can just remember a few words to a conversation I had with someone. As I said before, my dreams are becoming increasingly vivid and are coming more often. I'm not sure what to do / belive anymore

I don't believe that you ever really master your dreams. If you will notice the quality of your dreams will vary.
Sometimes it will be like actually being there with full vividness of sight, sound and touch. I find these dreams to be set in stone. They will happen. Don't even bother trying to change the outcome.
Other dreams are less vivid with elements that are like the first dreams. Some elements are certain while others are yet to be defined. The elements that are certain will definitely be in the event but the outcome is yet to be decided based on other variables. Be very careful if you tinker with the outcome as you can inadvertently affect the outcome negatively. Work to do good.
The third kind of dream you will have is a pure flight of fancy and I find they tend to be your mind trying to work something out. Sometimes symbolism will be involved, sometimes it's just for the entertainment of your brain. Just go with it and don't try to always find sign and portents in your dreams. Consider it a free vacation.
Good Luck!

First of all, I believe you, and you may have a gift. I would strongly suggest embracing this, and just going with the flow. I would keep a dream diary if I were you, keep it next to the bed and keep a record of your dreams when they come. Don't put any extra stress on yourself about this, and be careful who you tell. Lots of people are scared about people with these kinds of gifts. My grandmother used to tell me a story when I was a kid, that she was on the phone one day during the winter, talking to a friend or relative, I forgot. Anyway, all of a sudden she screamed out "oh my God, Debbie!!" (her daughter). She threw the phone down and ran to the window. To her horror, she watched her daughter, who was sledding in the front yard, going down the hill too fast, while a car was coming up the road. Her sled went right under the car, but the car stopped in time thank God, and she was totally fine! This is an honest, true story. Over the years, my Grandmother seems to not "guess", but "know" many things, like the future gender of a pregnant relative, to lots of other things.

Time and experience (like what you describe) will let you "see" more.
All these things may seem strange at first but with time you'll learn to manage.

By what I know is better to keep these things to yourself until you master it well.
