I got into a little accident, and as a result my glasses got quite bent. When I put them on straight, the glasses will be lopsided because one side of the ear piece is very bent. It is very hard to get back into place. It's uncomfortable, I have a test tomorrow, and I can't see an optometrist until Monday afternoon because they're closed on the weekends. Does anyone have any advice on how to make temporary adjustment to these flimsy glasses until that day?

Run very hot water into a dish or pan, carefully submerge the bent temple piece into the water for a few seconds.
VERY GENTLY bend the piece back into place.

This has worked for me in the past, but I cannot guarantee that it won't cause your glasses to break. You have to be very careful, but I saw the optical lab techs holding my glasses over hot steam for a brief time, then they would carefully bend the leg piece back into position a little at a time...

If they are plastic heat with hot water or hair drier and maybe bend them slowly into the proper shape. Metal well I'm out of ideas If you have a WalMart close check with them; many have an optical shop open on weekends. A mall? may have an optical shop. Good luck.

If you have chain optical shops in your town, like Eye Mart or Lens Crafters, they're open seven days a week and will adjust your frames at no cost.
