I've heard rumors that if Joshua Clottey wins his fight on Dec. 20th, Miguel Cotto wants to give him a title shot on HBO in March. I guess Cotto is frustrated with Floyd Mayweather's refusal to commit to a big money fight for next summer so he's looking to stay active against good competition. You all know that i'm very high on Joshua Clottey and i believe he can beat Cotto. Is this a dangerous fight for Cotto considering that he has bigger fights in the future? There is also talk of a De La Hoya-Cotto fight if the Mayweather fight can't be made.

Do any of you guys think Clottey can beat Cotto?

Ang P, Why are you so quick to dismiss Clottey's chances against Cotto? Clottey has good skills, a great chin, decent power and a good defense. Cotto gets hit an awful lot and he doesn't have the best chin. I don't think you know much about boxing if you think Cotto would just walkover Clottey.

I THINK HE CAN BEAT COTTO BUT THE ONLY THING ABOUT THIS FIGHT IS THAT CLOTTEY DOES NOT HAVE KO POWER BUT DOES HANDLE PRESURE VERY WELL ALTHOUGH I DONT C HIM WINNING ON THE SCORE CARDS TRUST ME THEY WILL FAVOR COTTO ON THE CARDS CAUSE HES WORTH MORE MONEY FOR THE SPORT (PPV) SO SADLY HE WILL LOSE IF THEY GO 2 THE CARDS

Clottey is too much risk, too little reward.

Cotto will take De La Hoya or Mayweather.
