I know with my daughter I usually make most from Santa with a couple from mom and dad. Another thing, I do not think 20 presents are too many. However many you give is what you can afford and if you can afford 20--then more power to ya! They are only kids once! I know every year differs for me, this year I did close to twenty(not sure exact number). I don't ever have an exact amount in mind, it's just whatever I end up buying! And no, my daughter is not a spoiled brat! She is a very sweet little girl and would be happy with one present.

In my family we have always said that Santa brings all the presents. That is what my parents did for us and what I've done for my foster kids. And I plan to do the same with the baby I'm expecting. I don't know why, but we never questioned why the presents were all from Santa

My mother was the complete opposite.. she'd tell us most of the presents were from Santa and then a few were from her. Back then.. she was on a strict budget and bought a little bit here and there all year so that we could have a decent Christmas. That is the way it has always been done in my family... and all I had never known any different really.

Diann C: Why would anyone bash you just because you were raised differently? As long as you aren't here to criticize or rant about anyone for choosing to tell their child about Santa, I don't see the problem.

I give my kids 1 present. Santa brings the rest. As far as they think, I can only afford one and the fact that Santa brings so many proves he must be real as Mum could never afford to bring so much (they are 8 and I will use whatever method that gets me a couple more years of Santa LOL)

The best presents is what Santa brings and the rest comes from you.Of course Santa's presents are all unwrapped and the child knows which ones he brings. A few wrapped that says from Santa.(make sure you don't use the same paper for your gifts)as Santa has his own special wrapping that doesn't look like yours.

Santa brings around 2-3 presents in our home, and the rest are from mom and dad.

I was raised to believe that no presents were from Santa. All were from family members or friends.

My husband was raised to believe that about 5 or 6 of his presents were from Santa.

We have not yet decided which our child will be raised to believe. Even if we tell him/her that presents are from Santa, he/she is likely to be told otherwise by members of the extended family in a very short time, none of whom are raising their children to believe in Santa.

I just put santa on all the name tag stickers I put on the gifts. I don't dare try to explain why only some are from santa.

When I was a child, My mother told us that everything we got was from Santa. I know that was to keep the spirit alive.
