can a benevolent god create a man SO gay that even he can't forgive him?
edit: cher, dear, queers can still be fired, denied insurance, evicted from their homes, and denied service LEGALLY in many parts of the u.s. our spouses have no rights of child custody, inheritance, hospital visitation, or insurance coverage. we are still beaten and harrassed just for being perceived as different. explain to me how that is equal, regardless of the unfair treatment other groups have suffered.

I think He wants us to treat gays like the human beings they are and does not want us to impede their free will. I am a Christian who believes in loving the sinner because even though I am Christian I am still a sinner and imperfect. I've met enough gay people to know that mot of them are the least judgmental and most accepting people because they have spent their lives being judged and not being accepted. I know I'm of course a bit with my answer but I feel strongly about it.
ADD: I am not however suggesting that I believe the gay lifestyle is acceptable to God. He made it clear it is not, but I know my Lord Jesus was in the company of tax collectors and was even a friend to a prostitute. Shutting others out because of their lifestyle can push them away from God, and I do not want to be the one to do that.

I am gay and christian. I have read the bible and compared them with things that happen today. What I believe is although the bible is truth it is also contradictiing. When Jesus Christ died for our sins he showed his unconditional love for us. God has mercy on us and will bring to heaven if we truly believe in him. I know there are verses in the bible that support the last sentence. Mike Huckabee, Tim Pawlenty and Sarah Palin are examples of why religious extremists shouldn't be involved in politics.

I don't think He wants us to. I imagine God wants gays to be able to have the same rights as married people. Of course that's the compassionate view. I have a feeling a lot of them are like Jonathan Edwards.

Zoril said it just like the bible states it! As far as them being our brothers and sisters, Jesus said those that do his will are
his brothers and sisters. They are not doing the will of GOD!
The bible says to NOT bid them God speed. No matter how they try to justify there life style, it is wrong in the eye's of God and, they will have to give account to him one day for it. As it is written: They have shut there eye's, stopped there ear's and
hardened there hearts and would rather believe a lie and follow after the lusts of there own hearts.

We are to treat everyone as human beings but I refuse to allow the gays to push their agenda on me and my family.
Marriage is between one man and one woman. Homosexuality as well as adultery are sins that are an abomination to God. If we give gays the same rights are straight married people we will ruin our country and the wrath of God will fall on the United States like never before.

OK, I am tired of hearing this crap..
Tell me exactly how homosexuals are not treated like human beings?
I have worked along them (woman didn't for a LONG TIME), they vote(ONCE AGAIN BLACKS AND WOMAN DID NOT FOR A LONG TIME), they go to college(BLACKS), they are allowed to drink from the same water facet as I do(BLACKS)
Oh they can't get married in a church legally. Well I guess they get one.
HOWEVER, they can choose to live together as a couple, otherwise known as common law marriage. They can have sex with each other, go out to eat and so on...
They are not poor and mistreated the way woman and African Americans were, so please stop trying to act like they are...

I suspect he does want us to treat them like human beings. He created them. He loves them. We're supposed to, also.
So: are you running on the Green Party ticket or what?
