How large is it to hold billions of souls, and how many kilojoules of heat would it take to make the lake of fire burn forever at a constant temurature of "hellish hot"?

Statistics are pure hell. I heard there was only room in heaven for 32 people, and they are all Buddhist.

Why take it so literally? The afterlife is another plane of existence, so physical size is irrelevant. The flaming fire is a metaphor for suffering, because to be burned alive is the worst pain a human can endure. (So I've been told, and have no reason to dispute it.) To get exactly what one says one desires--an existence free from God's presence--would be an existence of selfish desires that can never be filled, unable to love or help another, because you focus only on yourself and your suffering.

I do, in fact, adhere somewhat to the idea that we make our own hell here on earth, from what I've seen of people who can't think of anything except themselves. I just think it continues into the next life.

Supposing it ever existed, I would think it would be like a singularity point. Seeing as most people view souls as *insubstantial* they could theoretically all fit into a single point, and I would think that the very nature of a singularity point would be able to provide all the energy needed to fuel a "lake of fire".

Don't worry about that now...those are equations specifically reserved for us to slave endlessly over while we are in Hell...don't torture yourself over it prematurely...

Hell doesn't have an actual size, it just goes on to fit every person cast down there. heat wise, it just goes on forever; God made it that way.

It doesn't matter because there is no hell.
