No matter how many bad things they've done?

Paul persecuted Christians. And then he became one himself? Is that really likely in today's society?

Yes, it is possible. All who sincerely repent will be forgiven and redeemed by God.

The jail ministry at my church sees huge numbers of convicts repenting and turning to God. It is never too late to turn to Christ and God can use anyone, no matter what they have done. Paul is the perfect example.

Not everybody goes through an 'attitude adjustment' like Paul did. But I've seen bad people do a complete turnaround when they ask God to come into their life. We don't choose God, rather He chooses us and draws us in.
And is that likely in today's society? Well, there is the scripture that says, There is nothing new under the sun. I think that God's forgiveness and great mercy extends to those He did not choose in this life. That is the great news of the bible. Jesus died for the sins of the 'world'.

Well personally i dont know if in todays society that would be likely for them to just accept someone like that. but i believe that anyone can change no matter what. all they have to do is ask God to forgive them and he will. they can be completly redeemed just like that. and you also have to remember that God doesnt want anyone to be seperated from him. so he will gladly take anyone back. including paul.

Absolutely. It does happen everyday. Anyone can be redeemed according to the will of God. The Elect, those who were chosen before the foundations of the world, to be created into the image of God continue to be saved through the power of the Holy Spirit. Its not a decision a person can make. I think I'll be saved today? Its through the sovereignty of God by virtue of the New Covenant. Jesus rejects no one who the Father calls.

Only if they are elect of God.

The Bible tells us very clearly that it is impossible for some others to be redeemed:

"4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned." - Hebrews 6:4-8 KJV.

Who says Saul changed. He was known as a suck up and perhaps the noted the changing winds of his time. He is the only witness to his redemption.

People can not change too drastically in a short amount of time.

Nothing is impossible for God.

And it is not his will that even one soul be lost.

He loved the world so much he sent his only begotten Son, so that whoever believes in him shall not perish, but will have life everlasting.
