Not a breed. It is a Yorkie mixed with a Poodle. Research BOTH breeds because you can get traits of EITHER.

As others have said, yorkipoos aren't breeds. When a yorkie and a poodle mix, the chromosomes of mom and dad mix up - a random mix. This is why no two yorkipoos will seem the same and why you need to know the ins and outs of both breeds and any possible combination of those breeds temperaments, sizes, behaviors, colors, etc. You never know what you will get with a mixed breed puppy.

Now a word on designer dogs:
Don't buy a designer dog. No reputable breeder will mix breeds, so cockapoo and labradoodles and goldadors are all bred by backyard breeders or in puppy mills. Meaning your expensive mixed breed dog has a very high chance of coming with a mirage of health problems due to inbreeding, lack of quality vet care, improper socialization, and substandard living conditions. Puppy mills and backyard breeders are havens for various kinds of intestinal worms, infectious diseases, parvo, distemper, kennel cough, and many more. You are taking a very big risk by buying such a dog - even at a pet store which gets its puppies from puppy mills, anyway.

You are likely to be investing a veterinarian's and trainer's gold mine - looking at lifelong health and emotional problems. If you want a mixed breed, go to the pound and pick out a cutie that you evaluate for temperament and any signs of aggression. Or if go through a rescue that picks up unwanted animals, has them spayed/neutered, vaccinated, treat behavioral and emotional problems, as well as often housing the animals in homes instead of kennels and shelter facilities - offering you a wealth of information on behavior and other perks such as housetraining, crate training, being around kids, dogs, and cats, etc.

Or go to a reputable breeder for a pure bred dog - although there are lots of pure breed rescus out there, too.

It's a mix of a Yorkshire Terrier and a Poodle. Look up Yorkies and Poodles and take your best guess somewhere between the two, because that's what the dog will be - somewhere between the two.

That's how it goes with mixed breeds. They aren't "breeds" so they aren't predictable.

A yorkie and poodle mix's temperament and personality cannot be predicted because it is a mix, not a breed. Learn all you can about both breeds and expect your dog to have some, many or none of the traits you've read about.

There are no breed standards for mutts. Research Yorkies and Poodles, since that's the mix you're getting.

It's not a breed it's an overpriced mutt.... Your getting screwed by a puppymiller or backyard breeder if your buying this dog. Expect to have problems with either it's health or temperament it's whole life. You never know how they will act and there's not guarantee of it's health.

Yep, not a breed... but as the owner of a jack- in- the- box (Jack Russell (male)/ Boxer (female)) Get it, Jack russell mated the Boxer. Jack Russell was in the Boxer, then popped out ! (cute name huh ?) I can tell you this... I got it as a mutt and paid mutt price, NOTHING ! It got the hyperness of the terrior and the size of the boxer, though it doesn't druel all over the place. Hope you have the luck of getting all the traits you want and none of the ones you don't.

look up the yorkie breed, and then the poodle breed, your dog will most likely a mix of both breed temperaments. With X's it is hard to say what side your puppy will draw most from.

There is nothing to tell.. It's a mixed breed dog.. A Yorkiepoo is not a breed of dog. They are MUTTS that are bred by bybers, puppymills and sold in petstores, newspapers etc.. They are bred by irresponsible and unethical people, produced only to get your money. You will have health problems. temperament problems and you will very likely have training issues.. You want a mutt, rescue one. Don't get scammed and pay purebred prices for a mutt!

Just like any mixed breed it could be a little of both breeds, more of one or more of the other.

As Forest Gump would say "Mutts are like a box of chocolates. you never know what you are going to get."

Enjoy your new pup
