THEY ARE HIPOCRITS and sometimes really stupid people..


all they do is judge

religious person-"your skirt is too short, god doesnt like that go put something else on"

un religous response-"well your not him, so dont judge me, judging isnt what god wants"


all the do is tell people that god is in all of us, he lets us think for ourr selves but we are all a reflection of him.

well maybe the skank down the road is the kinky reflection of him

maybe the murderer down the road is the evil reflection of him

if the church is soo good and helpful and everthing god says they should be then why do all they doo is critisice the people who arent like them. they dont wear short skirts so that means anyone who does isnt who god wants them to be so that must mean they not allowed in the church any more
and how come so many people die over god. people shuldnt be dying to be in his good books
if people really loved him, they should be blessin him, not themselves

"all they do is judge" ... no, sometimes we throw stones when we aren't busy bashing gays.

I wear some short skirts (but nothing trashy) and there are plenty of people who wear shorter skirts to church. Does God want you to not wear short skirts? God doesn't really care, but He does care about your self-esteem. What are you showing off your body for, aren't you worthy of being loved in your own right?

I think you have a grave misunderstanding of what a "religious" person is, and more than that, someone has told you that you look trashy. I don't know, maybe you do, but if you don't care about their opinion, why are you so upset about them?

Religious wars have been going on since the monotheism virus erupted in the world. They're nothing new. They never stop. And so no war is going to erupt any time soon because the war has been going on already. Maybe a few big battles to come. As for your scenarios, they are far fetched. Communist nations are few and far between. China is really more capitalistic than the US right now. And they're just as concerned about Muslim fanaticism as the US. Europe is far less religious than the US, so is unlikely to side with any major religious war. Also, religion is just a cover for aggressive empire building and the need for oil by the US and other major countries. The war against terrorism is a war against anyone disrupting oil supplies--and has nothing to do with relgion.

That's a special brand of religious people. They are found in all faiths.
It's not really a question of religion. These people are simply judgmental and small-minded. And they happen to have found a niche that will socially make their pettiness not only acceptable, but actually bless it. It's got more to do with sociology than spirituality.
What can I say? Try not to let it get you down, and pity the fools.

I'm sorry you feel like you have been judged, and unfortunately 'religious' people will do that sometimes. I don't like to be judged either. You will note that non-religous people judge also. You started out by calling me a 'hipocrit.' (hypocrite) You don't even know me, yet you judge me because I love God.

honestly i agree with dawn... and besides God says in the bible DONT JUDGE so if someone who follows the bible is judging someone else... then they arent doing what they should be doing. again, it is not our place to judge but Gods. but hey! what do i know im just a teen! lol. and honestly by saying what you just said you are doing what you said was bad for them to do,,, just the other way around.

But even though i am a christian i agree that there are some christians that do judge and that is where they slip up. just dont stereotype all christians just because some are jerks

religious people are hypocrites but I think it is important for everyone to remember that God is not religious. His/Her/It's name is put on things but that doesnt mean God aproves of it. Try not to get mad a God, it is okay to be mad at the church, but realize that God is not part of the church. God is part of yourself and your spirituality. God doesnt care how short your skirt is, God wants to you respect yourself, if that means wearing a longer skirt, okay, if not, okay too. Just be loving, pure love, that is God.

I know religious people like that, and I know religious people who aren't. Just like some of the atheists here are sarcastic and harsh and some are kind and thoughtful.

You are mixing a lot of things around, so I will just address the short skirt issue. If you are a Christian, a short skirt or a low cut dress is helping your christian brothers to have lustful thoughts about you. They are the ones sinning not you, but if you care about your Christian brothers you would do what you could not to cause them to stumble. If you were a member of my fellowship I would ask you to dress more modestly not tell you to. If you chose not to, then it is not your sin it would be my sin and I would have to do better at controlling my thoughts. I would just hope that one of my Christian sisters would care about me enough to help and do what she could to help me.
