Mre Calories

There are TONS of calories in MRE's. Calories depend on which one you've got. Most average 1300 to 1500. Some more. They're designed for a person to eat just 1 or 2 a day actually---or at least that's how they were originally designed. Lots of carbs for energy....

This is an old question, but since no one actually answered it factually, the current average calorie count for a *full* MRE is 1,283. I say *full* MRE because you need to consume *all* parts of the MRE in their entirety to get all of the available caloric intake.

They are designed to be used temporarily by *active* soldiers, and are meant to be eaten three times per day -- or about 3,800 calories total. They are also "designed" to constipate, requiring fewer commode breaks during an active mission cycle. Ideally, they should be consumed in conjunction with more natural foods interspersed, as they can really cause physical harm if used as the only food source for extended periods.

Also, drink a LOT of fluid when eating MRE. They are hyper-packed with sodium.

RE:
how many calories does an MRE have at the most?

Each MRE provides an average of 1,250 calories (13% protein, 36% fat, and 51% carbohydrates) and 1/3 of the Military Recommended Daily Allowance of vitamins and minerals. A full day's worth of meals would consist of three MREs.

With every day pass, our country is getting into more and more trouble. The inflation, unemployment and falling value of dollar are the main concern for our Government but authorities are just sleeping, they don’t want to face the fact. Media is also involve in it, they are force to stop showing the real economic situation to the people. I start getting more concern about my future as well as my family after watching the response of our Government for the people that affected by hurricane Katrina.

According to recent studies made by World Bank, the coming crisis will be far worse than initially predicted. So if you're already preparing for the crisis (or haven't started yet) make sure you watch this video at http://www.familysurvival.tv and discover the 4 BIG issues you'll have to deal with when the crisis hits, and how to solve them fast (before the disaster strikes your town!) without spending $1,000s on overrated items and useless survival books.
