Write a poem and say how you feel in the poem. Then have a caring person read it. OR cry.

Maybe I am just getting older and use proper English and know how to spell but I honestly do not understand this questions at all.
How old are you? Were you forced to move to Fl by your parents? Are you having trouble making new friends, finding a job, at school? Do you miss Ct and/or people there? Or are you always feeling as though you are under a dark cloud for no reason and if that is the case then yes, it could be depression. Either way see a therapist.

Maybe you need to find someone special to fill your hearts desires and make you feel complete? Or maybe you need to seek the proffesion you really want. Prehaps you have some sort of chemical imbalence. Maye you should get checked? Maybe you dont have the right friends that you feel you can trust you life w/, and make you feel good about yourself. Try writing poems to get the feelings out of you. Telling people them is a good start. Feel better <3

From Connecticut to Florida is a big change. Even if you have adapted to your new home, with the Christmas holidays, you may be missing the snow. I came down south from Illinois and at first I did not miss the snow at all but I do now when Christmas rolls around.

Count your blessings. Also, try prayer, Bible reading, and look for a good church.
Be careful for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which passes all understanding will keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:6,7

Be patient of course. Suffering is hard on the soul. But don't be down on yourself because you feel down. The guilt from making the mistake is holding you. Let go and forgive yourself. You will get there, in the meantime, find some activity.

Do something nice for someone else. It is the best lift ever. Send a card to a friend for no reason, go to the animal shelter and visit the pets for a while, or just take a minute to ponder how lucky you are to be alive! : )

Sarah, If I had left sunny Fla. for Conn. I would be depressed too, and I am 52 yrs old. Wha you need is a "Sunlite" to make up for Fla. Show this to Mom and Dad as it is a cheap fix for the 'Winter Time Blues"!!!! I bet they use it as much as you do

You don't need a reason to be depressed. Depression comes from a chemical imbalance--so it's physiological, although an upsetting experience can certainly contribute. Medication can help, and so can counseling.

some people just have a certain sadness about them. i was like that as a teen. its probably a chemical imbalance. thats what i have. i took anti depressants for a few years to balance out my moods. and they worked. but now i have more control over them so i am off of the meds now.
