Everything is known...but not planned. God knows what will happen, but that doesn't mean it's all predestined. The things that happen for many are a result of prayer. Yes, God knew we would pray etc, but that doesn't negate the fact that the reason it happened (or didn't) is because of prayer.
Praying is for us. It's the conversation of our relationship. It's our desire to know God, to love him and to interact with him. This is what God wants from us. It's not just about praying for stuff, and he hands things out. It's about the love affair between God and his creation. He loves us beyond our understanding and longs for us to love him back. When we pray, when we seek him...he is there for us. That is what prayer is for.

Many teachings in Christian preaching seems to contradict what the Old testament says about God being against the diviners, astrologers and horoscope readers but they contradict it by saying that God already has a plan laidout for every individual. What I know about his plan is like a an empty palace where He waits for people to fill it up. However, there are many roads in which to choose to reach the place and those roads are free for people to travel on. There are roads however that may lead you get lose along the way and you just have to search for another way to go the right one. All roads lead only to the palace. How you get there is you own choice. Your path is your journey, your destiny is to reach it whtether it takes you long or without hardhsips.

Prayers should be signs of thanks and the request that an explanation or sign as to why something is or has happened that doesn't fit in with your plans .. since there never seams to be a rational or logical answer (apart from the nonsense spouted by those befrocked idiots - that we aren't meant to understand God's plans) and is just another reason why I don't believe in a supreme being .. well apart from my loving wife

“Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. And I will be found by you,” declares the Lord, “ Jer 29:12
Jas 5:16 “Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much”
He has a plan for us, but prayer is throughout the Bible as a very important thing he wants us to do! Prayer may be part of the plan!

God does NOT have EVERYTHING planned. And there are even times when he has changed his plans due to prayer. So, no, prayer is by no means meaningless.

Jehovah has some things planed for mankind and the earth, such as cleansing the earth of all wickedness.
Prayer is a means of communication with Jehovah. You talk to your parents, your spouse or your best friend every day don't you?
So why would you not want to talk to your heavenly Creator Jehovah and find out what he wants you to do with your life?

He wants to hear from you. The Christian walk is about a relationship with God, not who's got more power or anything like that. He just likes to hear you talk to him, and he also provides a haven of rest, where you can tell him your worries and then leave things up to him. It is very releiving to me knowing that he knows my wants and desires, and he cares about them. We are his creation, and he just likes to hear from US how things are giong. the choice is yours, wether you pray or not. We are commanded to pray without ceasing, and God blesses those who are in a close and constant relationship with him, but hey, make your own decision. These facts are simply what weight mine.
I love to talk with my Savior.

He has wiggle room. The plan is massive and very involved, you pray for him to tweak it a little in your favor - which is surprising easy. It's like asking for a variance - the code is clear but some discretion is allowed and he's pretty easy-going.

No.
Prayer is like saying please and when we do we give thanks to God for what we receive. This is why we're supposed to pray without ceasing because everything good is from God.
If one does not pray their relationship with God may diminish and they may not thank God for their many blessings.
