Definitely a martini. A whiskey sour is a fruity drink. A martini is straight booze.

I always think of a whiskey sour as a girl's drink, so I'd have to say the martini.

Heh, the question of manly versus girly comes up a lot, here. My advice would be to drink what you feel like. Both sexes drink both the drinks you've mentioned, and neither, in my opinion, is more girly than the other. But if you're concerned about appearance, have the martini poured into a rocks glass.

a straight up martini. don't be fooled by the whiskey sour......it has whiskey yes, but it is flavored and slightly sweet.
a martini is more manly.....with the exception of the glass!

Only two things are acceptable to mix with whiskey... water.... or more whiskey.
Martini wins this contest.
Straight whiskey trumps them both.
