Jesus made himself equal with God by many statements he made. For any human to make himself equal with God was the worst possible thing any human could do.
It is impossible for Jesus to just be a good man or a prophet from God as he made himself equal with God.

WOW! I am so sorry that I did not phrase this question so that everyone could understand what I was trying to say. Thankfully someone did apparently understand in spite of my poor manner in phrasing this question and that person is 100% correct. Therefore along with this addition I declare the Best possible answer and add that person to my list of contacts joyfully.

There is no room for anything else in the Jesus of the New testament:if He is not the Lord(God Incarnate) He claims to be ,then He is either a liar(deceiver) or a lunatic(someone who actually thinks he is Almighty, etc)

The foundation Jesus builds His Church on is the confession of faith. Father God gave to Peter who Jesus Is. Peter confessed Jesus Christ, "Jesus Christ, the Son of the Living God!". Jesus said that He builds His Church on this inspired confession of faith & that the gates of hell will not prevail over it.
Jesus was also a Good man & a Prophet. The reason Jesus raised from the dead was because He (Only) died & was without sin (in his humanity). Sin couldn't keep Jesus in the grave. So Jesus raised from the dead, for us. So we can do at resurrection day complete. When we accept Jesus into our hearts, then we are dressed in His righteousness.

Since ancient times, the first sons of royal families have been brought up believing that the king (their father) was chosen by God to rule the country, and that they, as his son, are next in line. A kid like this learns from birth to believe this and never questions it. It's just possible that Jesus was taught from birth that he was God's son, equivalent in power and rectitude to God.
It's also possible that words were inserted into the stories later by people who saw Jesus as the Son of God. Not all early Christians believed he was! The four gospels in the Bible were all written at least 70 years after Jesus was crucified, written by people who never actually saw Jesus or knew him. There are other gospels and accounts of Jesus' life that are not considered 'official' only because they don't agree with Matthew, Mark, Luke and John. There was a great disagreement in the first few centuries of Christianity as to whether Jesus was god or man or both. 'Both' won out, and became the canonical belief.
Finally, whether Jesus is God or Man or both is not important to me. What is important is his teachings, which often are either heavily skewed or just ignored altogether by people who say they believe he was the Son of God.

Did a historical Jesus exist?
http://www.nobeliefs.com/exist.htm
[Excerpt]
ALL CLAIMS OF JESUS DERIVE FROM HEARSAY ACCOUNTS
No one has the slightest physical evidence to support a historical Jesus; no artifacts, dwelling, works of carpentry, or self-written manuscripts. All claims about Jesus derive from writings of other people. There occurs no contemporary Roman record that shows Pontius Pilate executing a man named Jesus. Devastating to historians, there occurs not a single contemporary writing that mentions Jesus. All documents about Jesus got written well after the life of the alleged Jesus from either: unknown authors, people who had never met an earthly Jesus, or from fraudulent, mythical or allegorical writings. Although one can argue that many of these writings come from fraud or interpolations, I will use the information and dates to show that even if these sources did not come from interpolations, they could still not serve as reliable evidence for a historical Jesus, simply because all sources derive from hearsay accounts.
Hearsay means information derived from other people rather than on a witness' own knowledge.
Courts of law do not generally allow hearsay as testimony, and nor does honest modern scholarship. Hearsay provides no proof or good evidence, and therefore, we should dismiss it.
