It sounds like you have a problem with religion in general.
You are looking at it from a humanistic or what is called
carnality. To understand spiritual things of God, you have to
be spiritually minded. The book of Romans, 8th.chapter. KJV.
Please read it, and absorb what it is saying. I felt somewhat
the same way you do, only with other issues. Then I made a
major change in my life. If you are honest with yourself, and
God, you ask, seek, and knock, and He will answer, help you
to find the truth( and I mean the real truth) and He will open the
door. Matthew 7:7-8. It does sound like you could be serious
or curious about all of this, or you would not have read as much as you have. Believe it or not, the Kings James Version does prove itself, no matter what the skeptics say.
Remember one thing, you have a soul that will live on for-
ever.Eccl.12:13-14; also remember the rich man and a poor
man named Laz'a-rus, Luke,16:19-31. If you want more info.

LOL No not 100% I think we could try a mathematical interpretation to the bible rather than either an allegorical or literal one. In the footsteps of Pareto: the 80/20 law suggests that the bible is 80% true and 20 % in error. Then applying advanced differential calculus out of the "20% in error" 80% are misunderstandings and only 20% are too hard to explain. Of course there are many people who would argue that it is 99-100% false but I think that they forgot to carry the 2 somewhere in their calculations.

II Peter 3:8
"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."
1 day God's time = 1000 years of our time
___________________
The Re-Creation of the earth took place over a 8000 year period,
from day 1 to day 7, then Adam and Eve were created on what some call the 8th day.
------------------------
The earth would have been re-created at the time, not polluted like today, I do find it quite believable that mankind lived a long life, but no one lived longer than a 900+ years.

God could have created the universe in a milli-second.He took His time and did it in 6 days.Peter says a day with the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years but a day. God lives outside time and space.Time only began when the earth and sun were created and set into motion.God created light first,He created the sun not until verse 14.The first people were created perfect in a perfect environment. They were meant to live forever. When Adam and Eve opened the door to sin and death, each suceeding generation lived a little less and a little less until by the time of Noah,God said their lifespan would be 120 years. After the flood, now we have direct sunlight which just wastes humans over time.Interbreeding cause dthe genetics to become weaker and weaker until by the time of Moses God says "Stop! No more breeding within families"(The Egyptians completely ruined themselves through inter breeding).By the time of King David the lifespan (and he remorses about it in the Psalms) is 70 ,lucky if you live longer.By the middle ages the life span was 50 years old.Not until the 19th century did the average age begin to climb the same time as we began to invent all we have today(Daniel said in the end days knowledge will increase dramatically. It has and he was correct).
Do I believe the Bible ? Yeah,I guess I do.Try some study instead .

In the Bible, as a way to describe that time is immaterial to God, one day is described as being like one thousand years (Psalm 90:4, 2 Peter 3:8) to him. Also in 2 Peter 3:8, one thousand years is described as being like one day. However, some Bible experts interpret this more literally as a way to understand some prophecies like those in Book of Daniel and others (like the Book of Revelation) where are mentioned days in form of weeks and years
a day can be a period of time even billions of years.
its all how you look at it. god told adam you will die in the very day of your eating from the tree. he lived just under 1000 years this is the meaning of that day. 1000 years so adam could not have lived more than that.
after the flood god shortened mans life to only around 100 years.

no, it isnt 100% true. Conservative christians will argue with this, but I dont understand why. I dont think it looses anything by not being all right. I mean, there is still good in their. I think it actually would help people moreso because otherwise, the bible is harsh and I would never encourage anyone to read it. Some people believe it should be harsh, but I think a God of love doesnt have much to do with killing people. Just my opinion. Plus, if they believed it was all true and all literal, they would live a totally different life, and children would be stoned for disobeying their parents. I dont see that happening. So no one really takes it literal even if they say they do. They chose what is convenient to believe and dont talk about the rest.

Yes the bible is true.
Because of inherited imperfection from Adam, mankind has inherited sin and that is why we die.
Mankind lived long than they do now but their long life span did not encourage them to search for Jehovah.
So Jehovah set a limit for them, once in Noah's day, the limit was dropped to 120 years. Then again in Moses day, the age limit was dropped to 70 or 80 years depending on the individual.
The earths creative days, were 6,000 years long and there were a total of 6 creative days. How much time passed in between each creative day is unknown to us at present.

all scripture is inspired of God...and God cannot lie...he commissioned men to to the task of writing down his thoughts by way of divine intervention.
people were designed to live forever..Adam messed that up for us and since then no one has lived longer than 1000 years. Methuselah was the oldest.
They were created perfect but as the years went by we became less perfect and more diseased so we die earlier.
By the way one of Jehovah's days was a 1000 years for us. So the earth was created in 6000 years.

Depends on what you mean by true.
The historical books are historical.
The poetical books are poetical.
And how do you know people can't live to be nearly a thousand years old? We could live forever, if only our cells didn't mess up while replicating. And God could fix that if he wanted to. Maybe only those guys mentioned lived that long. But that's not important.
What is important is that hundreds of people not nearly as long ago saw Jesus rise from the dead, and said so all their lives, until they were killed for saying so.

The Bible is 100% true and if you were to go to a good church and learn about it you would know.Have you ever heard of the Bible Code? They are finding more and more in the Bible that was put there when the scrolls were written. Things like the Okla. bombings and the name Tim McVey. It was found about Saddam and Iraq There way too many to go into here. Please taake the blinders off your eyes and face the truth. If you get into it and study you will find a lot of things that have been pre told in the Bible. You can't just. read a verse here and there and expect to learn anything. It takes time and study. If you'd watch Christian t.v. you'd learn a great deal.
