YES!!!!
I think it makes them all feel better about what they are actually doing.
As soon as those cells start forming in the womens body, as far as i am concerned it is already a life!!!!!!
There are NO reasons good enough to have an abortion, in my opinion, please nobody be offended, because we all have a right to air our opinions.
That baby, whatever it turns out to be, will be a living breathing human being, that you gave life to, it has a right to live.
so yes not foetus, baby please

no foetus does not dehumanise the unborn child - it is a foetus! if this baby was born at the time of being a foetus it would have little or no chance of survival.

It is the same for all mammals - the unborn offspring are classes as a foetus until it is at a stage where life outside the womb is viable.

I don't like the term "Foetus" - it just sounds like something that isn't human.

I think people use it to refer to a baby that would not be viable outside the womb. A "potential" baby, if you like.

The "clump of cells" stage is actually an EMBRYO. From around 8 weeks gestation it becomes a Foetus.

It is recognisably human from 12 weeks gestation. I saw my son on ultrasound at 8 weeks and he had little limb buds and a tick-tick heartbeat! He was 18mm long! I saw him at 13 weeks and you could even make out his tiny little face! He was sucking on his foot.

By the time I next saw him on ultrasound, at 24 weeks, he was unmistakably a BABY. No ifs and buts - to hell with the word "Foetus" - he was my baby boy. Small but completely formed (and babies born at 24 weeks have survived)

I was pro-choice until I had my son. After that I changed my views. All babies are a gift from Heaven.

No but think you need to get out of cloud cookoo land.

You need to study biology and reality.

There is no god

only a child abusing, mysogonist, female abusing, brutally sexaully repressive, homopbic, lying, terrorisim and relgious war supporting, treating females like dirt or walking baby dropping meat sacks cult called christianity and its evil psychotic sensual female murdering dominating brutal realtion islam.

Ergo no gods gift...

Usually a curse or attack or nightmare is more like it as your so called gods gift robs a girl of her social, love life, education, dreams, career and freedom. Setting up any offspring for an awful life lacking in opportunity, to grow up on estates full of junkies, muggers, gangs if not on 3rd world streets or in god church childrens homes getting raped and abused.

The exception being fully planned babies, for whome the parents have had a good social, travelling education and love life, have established a happy stable home, maturity, experience, a career each, a stable secure income and readdy for kids.

But as developing a foetus is anything but human and the needs of the femlae come first as she can grow a new foetus which eventually but not yet may become a baby 9 months later not 2 seconds, or several weeks later.

your notion of unborn child is not real mate but the concept ensalves and abuses females and reduces them to nothing more then a walking baby producing incubator

You should start by not wanting to get pregnant, just have sex everyday or every other day and don't think about getting pregnant, just have fun with your partner. Get more useful information and guides to get pregnant here https://tr.im/8znQp
after sex-put a pillow under your butt or prop your feet up on the wall so your pelvis is tilted
eat healthy
back off caffiene
workout, even if its just a 20 minute walk a day, be active.

No. Get a grip.

As others have said, you have been brainwashed by a lot of hysterical emotive rhetoric.

"Foetus" (and yes, that IS the correct spelling in ENGLISH, to all our colonial cousins who think they are entitled to call us IDIOTS because THEY can't spell) is a scientific term for a specific part of the gestational period after 8 weeks (before that it is an embryo).

The term refers to a tangible, visible entity. Prove the existence of your god. And prove the existence of a "beautiful life" to all the unwanted babies born into fear and poverty, to be abused and abandoned.

To those you think a foetus or a zygote is an unborn child they truly hate children. Because, hon, every child deserves all the advantages that make a life wonderful.... private art lessons if that child shows talent, music lessons, symphony tickets for every season as a child, so the kid learns that music isn't just rap. Two parents who love him, and even a dog that the family can afford to give adequate veterinary care for. A fetus feels nothing, sees nothing, thinks nothing and isn't much more than a clump of cells. And being born into a starving family in Africa or a slum in the US is no life, and no chance.

I'd have been pi(s)s(ed) as hell if I had only enough food to barely give me energy to breathe, and if I had to share a sleeping quarter with 17 other kids. God helps those who help themselves, and that is very difficult, when the pie is sooooo small, and the number of mouths that need it are so many. For sure, Birth control is far better than abortion, but lots of women think they are going to simply get preggers, have a guy support them for the rest of their lives, and wonder why the guy takes off in three years, so she tries again, and the cycle is repeated.... by the time she is 30, she has 6 kids by 4 different men... and can adequately parent none of them, god's gift or no god's gift. you want to be one of those 6? I don't. I'd rather have not been born into such a mess. How about you?

OK, first of all, Foetus is a band, not a small, developing human (it is Fetus, idiot). Secondly, while I certainly think my child is a true gift, I also don't think I can make sweeping generalizations & make peoples' decisions for them. I would advise listening to the band for you. You need something to lighten you up a bit. Have a beer while you are at it.

You have answered your own question. Foetus means unborn
It is NOT a child until it has left its host mother and is on the outside.

If your argument is based upon abortion you are not looking a the broader picture which is WHY do young girls get pregnant nowdays when 60 years ago they did not. Councils are at fault because the council has yours and everyone elses community charge to fill their coffers they come up with stupid ideas like offering a flat or house to pregnant young women. In their mother's day you went on a housing list which meant you child would/could be at school by the time you reached the top of the list.
Young girl get pregnant, boyfriend departs, girl applies to council gets flat, boyfriend returns, they live in sin in their own place ahead of all those single guys who would love to have a pad of their own but have live with mum and dad.

It's 'fetus' and no, I don't think the word is dehumanizing. A fetus is a beautiful baby who's still inside the womb. Nothing about the word is masking this!

To the person who said "A fetus feels nothing, sees nothing, thinks nothing and isn't much more than a clump of cells"
wtf? Who thinks that? That's not what fetus means. Why is there such an issue with the word?

I don't even think that we need to use the word "fetus." There is always this question is it a baby is it not a baby? It's just like the difference between child and adult. We can't say that children are any less of a person than an adult is. I honestly believe that people use the word fetus to mask the fact that it is a baby.
