Should we leave the war in Iraq? If you mean leave it in it's present state, No. There are only two factions who think we should... the terrorists, and the protesters. Hmmmm... coincidence?
If you mean, finish the job (and I'm really getting tired of explaining what that means) and THEN leaving... Yes.There are several factions who think that... the soldiers, the military in general, the families of those serving, the cogent people in the US...Oh, yeah... and a few million Iraqis.
Age 65. Work? Retired about 20 years ago from the Navy. I have my MA in math (operations research) and DBA. Retired from management consulting with a big-5 firm about 5 years ago.
A word of caution: Not all those who post are legit. I believe that Wood is likely no more a "noncommissioned officer in the Air Force" than I am. Apologies if I'm wrong, but were he, I would have expected him to use a term like "SSGT" or "NonCom." "No war?" He says he's been there. What does he call it?

Only after we finish what we were sent to do even if it would cost us more personnel. So far we are at over or at least around 3800 for a war that has been going on now on 5 yrs, that many alone died on our highway and byways just this yr. I know three time that amount have been injured and the war will never end for them. Same as Nam or Korea even WW2. But I for one am very thankful that I can sit here tonight and say these things with my lights on and the curtains open not looking over my shoulder is someone going to come in or not.

There is no war in Iraq. We should leave Iraq when the Iraqi Army can take over the workload without all hell breaking loose, or when the Iraqi government no longer wants us there. I'm a 27 year old noncommissioned officer in the United States Army, fresh out of Iraq.

I am a 22 year old senior at a military college i work as an emt in my spare time and am in the National Guard. I say we need to stay in Iraq .. we may/ may not have started it based on how you look at it but we devastated the country and should remain to help rebuild and continue doing what we have been.

We are not in a war. We are protecting people so they can have a democracy that the citizens of that country will never abide by. Unless we want to camp out there forever, they will go back to civil war or another dictator as soon as we leave. I am 56 and retired.

No...we should stay till we've killed all those taliban and Al-queda guys. And for everyone that says we are losing and we won't win just shut the **** up. I have no job but I am enlisted and ready to leave in a few months after high school. I'm in artillery right now but switching to airborne Infantry...hopefully ranger school 4 years after.

Definitely not!! If we leave now, it would turn the whole area into turmoil. We are now starting to make alot of progress. We need to make sure the Iraqi's can stand on their own first!
