I have a US 60GB PS3 and will be going to the Philippines for the holidays and will be bringing the PS3 with me... I was just wondering if the power supply in the PS3 110 to 240v or will it fry if i plug it into a 220v plug?

I own US PS3 in Europe, so I had to buy a power converter (500W, because PS3's 60GB version needs at least 380W, it's written in the manual).

This is the same exact thing that happened to me... the only difference is CHINA. The US PS3 can't handle 240V, it will just blow up if you do. What you have to do is to go to a local electronic store, and buy a transformer! When you choose your transformer, you will need to be very careful. Buy a transformer with the WATT from 300-500, so you can play the PS3 a lot longer. Once, I accidentely purchased a 100WATT one, and it only worked for 10 minutes... with 300, you can play for many hours. The 300WATT one pleases me. Have fun playing!

hey! filipino! alright! im not sure if you know how to speak tagalog so i wont.... anyway....

no it can't handle 220V so what you do is when you get to the philippines buy a transformer you can find those everywhere in any electronics store... they're really cheap so don't sweat it.... or you can use the AVR of your dektop computer and there should be an outlet there thats marked 110V....

man.... i miss the philippines......
